So which Today is it ? Today or tomorrow today ?

Do i need a HG Wells style time machine to get to the right today to be the today needed to get beta 7 ?

Everyone arguieng over beta realeases if it comes it comes, don't you guy's have lives? Go play with your wifes/girlfreinds hardware ;)

For iOS6, one time they waited so long, the beta expired. They have no set table to release to developers.

Never said they did. But having worked for Apple I used to be in contact with their devs (they assisted me on a in-store project) and that's what they follow internally.

Can someone who's had access to these betas tell me what iOS 7 is like? Does it feel solid? What do you think of its design?

 It has a real slick interface. It took most of it's design from Jailbreak app writers. If you currently use Cydia, you won't be that impressed. It has more finger gestures. U can pinch the search bar on any page. You can slide between apps. It supports moving wallpaper, without really running down battery life. In fact my battery life is better using my iPad 3 (But 3 was notoriously short).
In general it's a great improvement. I don't expect it to run on any old hardware. iPhone 4s and up and iPad 3 and up.
Still 5 to 8 % of apps crash intermittently and some on launch.

iOS 5 had 8 betas, so currently that has had the most.

You missed the last part of his comment and also what the site is including.

GM are counted as betas on the site, so by not including the last one, iOS 5 in fact maxed out at 7 betas.

It is basically the same OS, with a few upgrades here and there. It is nothing ground breaking to be honest. You will transition very easy to it.

My battery life is the same as before using it.

lol no. Not everything needs a function. Round 2 to you lol.

Just for you, I took some screen shots from my 1st gen iPad...can't do better than iOS 5 on it...so you can treasure the look of the icons...in fact, if you have a newer iPad that can have iOS 7 installed on it, I'd be glad to trade w/you, you can have my iPad 16/3G (AT&T) with no way to update past iOS 5's skewmorphism, for your iPad...deal? ;)

lol thanks, but I have 1st gen iPad wifi + 3G still kicking just fine, but I doubt I'll update my 4th gen iPad 64GB wifi+ LTE.

Nice backgrounds btw.

Lol we'll see.....

Oh, thanks for the link!

I use that link for my mac, "right click" on pic to download high res version, put them all in a folder, then set that as my background, automatically switches every 30 mins. lol.

They also have an ios app that makes it easy to put on ios devices and share. (App store, search for apod).

In either case, you can go through their archives.

I was going through those archives last night lol. Thanks again!

Half hoping it would be released today. Alas, nothing as of the customary launch time.

Is it Today yet ? it seems to be taking a long time to get around to ending this day :D

With the official event next Tuesday and reports that packages of new devices are coming into US for release at the end of month, I wouldn't expect beta 7 anymore. GM is probably the next one and that's likely next week near the media event on 10th.

I have been wrong twice, so, hopefully, I'm wrong for the third time here. :)
