Parallax is all about look, so yes, it is useless. You like it, then good. Is it nice? Yes, but it has no functional purpose. That doesn't mean Apple hasn't come up with a some new ideas for it that remain to be seen.

Neither does the transparency/ 'frosted glass'. Is it nice? Yes, but it has no functional purpose.

You sound like the OCD type where everything has to have a purpose and function...what if it's function is to look nice? I take it the walls in your home are bare then?

How is IOS 7 running on the iPad mini ive not seen any reviews of IOS 7 on the mini i hope its smooth as IOS 6

I have held off installing it on mine, it runs okay on my phone but some apps still dont function properly. So I decided to keep one device running iOS6 for those apps.

Security fixes are always noted. Sometimes they affect jailbreaks.

Good grief, no need to be relentless.

What about the status bar size increasing on the lock screen? Don't fight just to fight. You know what I mean. Apple DOES change things from beta to beta, version to version, and not all changes are documented externally.

----------

Either way, stop treating it like every other beta. Every other beta was at least a 150MB update, beta 6 was 13. Obviously, it was not a normal bug-fix filled beta like the rest, therefore, the normal rules do not apply.

iOS 7 isn't growing in size with each beta, it's changing. As each beta is released, less refining and code modifying is happening. So it makes sense that each beta OTA update will decrease in size. 6.1.2 to 6.1.3 was extremely small, yet still had bug fixes.

I do agree Beta 6 was primarily focused on fixing this bug, but it's still a beta, just like Beta 5 and those before.

If Apple is modifying code upwards of 100MB in size with a final release date within a months time, I would be very concerned ...

Ok, I guess you're not very well informed.

iOS 6 beta 4 (the last beta for iOS 6) was a 282MB OTA update.

With how many bugs are still left, including massive issues with the iPad, there is no way they'd waste time releasing a 13MB update unless it was a hotfix.

Beta 6 was clearly just that. 13 MB is barely enough to fix anything.

Just find out in iOS 7 beta 6 that you can acces iphone data whyle it's booting - posibility for jailbreak

Please don't start repeating what BGR says. That site is the worst generator of link bait there is. I thought we were better than that over here.

Am i missing something? It is just now 1:30 PM EST.

Yeah, MacRumors decided to hitch their reputation to a lame horse > BGR

Same thing happened to me earlier. Had to hard reset my phone. Stopped the loop. Match still not working properly though.

Beta 6 actually BROKE iTunes match. If I enable it, not only does it not download properly but it gets stuck in a loop asking for my friggin password.

Assuming you both are signed up dev's just pop over to the Develop centre and you will find link to a configuration profile and instructions how to install it. This should solve your problems I think.

lol no. Not everything needs a function. Round 2 to you lol.

pfff, I will never trust anything BGR reported, it's a shame macrumors picked up the story.

Game centre is broke for me. The achievements pop up all the time even though I already have them.

Has anyone parsed the developer website for dead download links with a higher build #?

I remember some guy doing it with beta 5

No need to shout. I was just making a quick comment during lunch on your example.

And for this example, I'm not sure the size of the status bar on the lock screen directly affects a developer concerned with APIs which is what this beta is for. I'm not sure that I've seen that the readme is supposed to be a changelog. Either way I'm not trying to convince you, just discussing.

People love complaining

I think the more and more populated our world becomes, the more complaining we seem to hear. Everyone is complaining about anything Apple does these days. Not to say they are perfect but constructive criticism would be more effective. I really believe that Apple has done a great job on iOS7. Yes, each and every person can find things here and there that they would prefer to be changed or different. :apple::confused:

I hope they will finally include the fingerprint scanning feature in this beta!

Apple is so dumb, they don't even realize there's hardly any time left for us to beta-test the feature!

Really?

Given that the hardware for the feature is not available, just how do you propose "for us to beta-test that feature".

Ok … yes … we could install the beta with that feature enabled, and then bitch up a gump stump about how it doesn't work, cast copious derision on those that point out it's a beta, because who gives a crap that the hardware doesn't support fingerprint scanning ...

one thing everyone wants but apple cannot provide why?

Everyone? You asked every single iPhone user or potential user and they all said this was a big deal. Doubt it.

In fact I would venture that most folks don't really care because they aren't so bothered by the few extra steps.

iOS music app is terrible

Why there isn't a up-next feature like desktop iTunes, we can't create playlists on iOS...

So archaic, all it got was a coat of new paint
