The control center is meant to be used from wherever you are. Not just at the home screen. It still doesn't work.
It works everywhere for the vast majority. Apple designs their software for the devices that it is for based in the original version of those devices. If they want to make some button involved in something or something else off the screen, that is perfectly up to them--the OS doesn't revolve only around the screen itself.

The Belkin Flex cases are gorgeous. Minimal branding, soft yet resilient.

It holds the case into place.
But tons (pretty much most of the other cases) stay in place just fine without some sort of a "pocket" or "lip" that has to be at the bottom of the case to hold it in place. This is a fairly isolated design it seems given that most cases that do cover that part do it because they pretty much cover all non-screen areas (like some Otterbox cases) while pretty much all the other cases don't cover the front of the phone at all.

Given the uniqueness of the case unfortunately it seems like it might introduce some practicality issues.

I'm just saying, in my experience it doesn't work as well as notification center, because the phone can't sense touches off the screen.

Well it's a new feature and it's still in early-mid beta life cycle too. Plus there can be some differences as to what's typically at the top of the phone (status bar, etc.) vs. the bottom of the phone. Also people's movements downward from the top are usually somewhat more precise and direct naturally compared to movement up from the bottom. So definitely at least some variables there that can play a role.

I didn't even know until just recently that you were required to touch the bezel for it to actually register.

I mean I don't know what to think about that. That's a first.

Apple always had good touch technology I always thought. The software always seemed to know what you wanted to do without you having to sweat to make it happen.

Notification center works fine, it's just control center that often doesn't come up when I need it to.

It's like flipping a coin.

I remember you used to be able to double tap the home button without looking to play and pauses music..

You don't have to touch the bezel because there is no such sensor there ... However, your swipe needs to start closest to the bezel (pixel 0 if u may) otherwise it's a normal up swipe for the app ... And the easiest to accomplish that (for most population ) is to just use the bezel ...

You should sue apple (let Belkin know) for this design !

Man, you never been so close to have your dream become reality. Just over 24 hours left now.

PS: I still can't believe you had a dream about this kind of stuff!

Obvious troll is obvious.

Those who went through the iOS 6 beta will know it was slower than iOS 5. Anyone who has ever used iOS 4 on an iPhone 3G will know that Apple does release slower versions of iOS.

Lastly it's a beta. Things don't always work as they should.

I don't understand why you would want to cover the bezel at the bottom. I've never seen anyone use a case that does that. I don't understand why people buy an iPhone and then stick a big obnoxious case on it. I use a clear case as to not hide the beauty of the iPhone.

That's just my opinion though.

Back to the topic - I love the control center.

Since they've had it twice as long, it should have twice the improvements.
