Yeah, iOS 6 was horrible compared to the other operating systems released under Forstall's leadership. :D

That wifi bug was inexcusable.

My guess is that with Forstall Apple had an other philosophy with iOS. They wanted to make iOS like that so you dont have to worry about turning on and off bluetooth or wifi etc. You were supposed to just use it and the os manages it itself.

For example, i dont really need the control center. I almost never use the flight mode and I leave bluetooth and wifi on all the time. The only thing i like it the brightness slider

I'm fine with it, if only to shut up the folks that think it is so needed. But I'm not keen about how they did it. Or really the new task bar. But I'll get over it.

Every thread where someone even remotely criticizes some design aspect of iOS 7 you're usually one of the first people there vigorously defending sir Ive's flawless masterpiece. Same with hardware too. I'm just wondering, can you name one thing that you're not entirely happy with in iOS 7? Surely it's not perfect right? This will make me feel better because glancing at your posts they come across as a bit... Cultish.

And yes I like iOS 7 overall!

Well since I don't have iOS 7 on any device I can't say whether I'll really like it or not right now. I just think some of the hysterics over things like the icons and signal bars now being dots is ridiculous. I wouldn't equate that to defending every aspect of iOS 7. In fact I do think iOS 7 is far from being a polished product and it might take until iOS 8 or 9 to get there. I've also said I think Apple should be able to push out updates to apps like mail and calendar more frequently. We shouldn't have to wait until iOS 8 to get updates to things they may have not been able to complete in time for iOS 7 to ship (no way it will hold up releasing the new iPhone).

If you haven't actually used iOS 7, then you don't have actual experience of all the supposedly new features that you are claiming Forstall refused to give us.

I was excited about all the new features that was mentioned in the keynote, but after actually using iOS 7 for a few days, I feel that UI changes aside, the level of feature improvements (at least those visible to the end user) is comparable to the improvements we got with each previous iOS generation. Of course, your opinion might differ, but if you haven't used it, you can't actually form any opinion, can you?

You do realise Android is a shameless copy of iOS, right? iOS launched in 2007 and Android in 2008.

So after stealing the whole OS, iOS 7 has the right to improve(copy) one or two features from them.

I don't know where to even begin to start pointing out the wrong in the post, and the 3 people who upped it.... just lol.

1. Based on 2 different operating systems.
2. Looked nothing alike at inception or even now.
3. Created with different design philosophies in mind, iOS simplicity and closed-ness, Android cram as many features in as possible and open-ness.

True. Maybe when I use them they won't be a big deal. I guess wait and see.
