Since the ios 5 update i observe , apple send out fixes until the time for new ios arrive and than again so on and on ...what is this ?
Battery issue each time new ios comes ?
Anyway i did try somethinf on my 4s w ios 7 that helped a little w my battery drain issue and thats waht i done :
Open the network setting and sett in on manual i stead of defult aoutomatic search for network .
It did help me alot to save my battery .
Let me know .

----------

I just heard from diffrent surces that setting ur network serach on manual will fix the battery drain issue .
It worked for me so far since this morning .
Let me know urs .

I am interested to find out if people with battery problems are using gmail or exchange accounts ? Deleting the accounts solved my battery issues.

Determined to get to the bottom of the battery drain on my iPhone 5 and spurred on by comments on here from people who have perfectly good battery life with iOS7, I did yet another clean DFU installation last night. Then I tediously reloaded every single app, reset network settings, switched off ALL the usual power-hungry settings and disconnected from the wall charger.
It was astounding but my web browsing on WiFi for two hours returned iOS6-type battery usage stats :-o
Sadly, upon booting my phone this morning the battery is now draining super fast again. There is something wrong with iOS7.

Anyone else dealing with terrible battery 25% in 2 hours

My iPhone 4 uses a Mophi which at iOS 6 gave me over 24 hours of charge. Since upgrading to iOS 6 and being sure to turn off Wifi when out of range and also swiping to close apps it is draining my battery in about 7 to 8 hours! I HATE iOS 7!

Standby and WiFi usage seems to be Ok on my iPhone 5. However, 3G usage seems to result in very fast drain in the order of 1% every 1-2 minutes. Is anyone else experiencing that?

Yup, this is exactly what's happening to me on my iPhone 5S. It's driving me nuts.

Not only are we inconvenienced by this battery drain but it is also going to kill our batteries much quicker. They're only good for a certain number of charge cycles and currently I'm charging mine twice as often as I used to with iOS6. I also have ALL the new features switched off, so I am gaining nothing from this new software except the ruining of my battery.

So... After another dfu clean install this was the usage I was able to get with just web browsing and email over wifi with my 5 with most power hungry settings turned off. Not very satisfied at all. My warranty expires tomorrow so I'm probably going to stop by an Apple store today to see if there are any issues with my battery. I figure it can't hurt...

I guess my battery life wasn't great before iOS 7, but it's definitely taken a significant dip since the update.

It's balls.

turn off mobile data + 3G/LTE when using wifi
Turn off wifi when using 3G/LTE

Ios 7 uses both wifi and cellular radios in tandem to improve response times for iMessage, Siri, push and cloud docs.

You shouldn't have to shave all the other features back on an $1000 phone!

Just remember to turn off the radio set you're not using.

I get *close* to ios 6 times when I do that.. With push/cloud/find my/iMessage on..

Standby seems great (unless wifi and cellular are both on, then it sucks the moment my screen lights up)

Hope they improve its management in the next update or I'm gone. Carrying a charger around is bulls**t

This is my iPhone 4 absolutely hammered on a train back from Scotland.

Phone calls, 3G browsing, sharing photos over Bluetooth to girlfriend, tethering my 3G to her iPhone, using maps with GPS a lot, and taking photos with GPS...

Not that bad I think for how much of a hammering I gave it

Iphone 5s battery life sucks

I agree, the battery life on my new iphone 5s is terrible.

I've gone to settings > cellular and turned off cellular data and that'll hopefully help. I've made sure that I can still receive phone-calls, and yes, I can with cellular data turned off.

The phone screen will always just stay on unless I manually turn the phone/screen off via the on/off (sleep/wake) button. Is there a way to set the time it stays on and turns the screen off automatically? I think that was possible on the 4s.

I do like the fingerprint sensor and have made it possible to use either/both the thumb on my left hand or my right hand.

At the Apple Store getting my battery replaced... so it seems my issues really were't related to iOS 7...

You paid a thousand dollars for your iPhone? I would take it back if I payed that much for it.

Both of these were just solid web browsing on an evening. The only difference is the o/s.

Yeah but those of us who use iCloud will be in trouble and besides, I didn't have this switched off in iOS6. Are you saying this is where the battery drain problem lies?

This isn't the problem, I don't use mobile data for iCloud only wifi, and I only use iCloud for contacts and bookmarks, not backup.
I think the problem is the mobile and wifi radios, when browsing safari via wifi my battery drains 20% per hour, thus getting 5 hours usage, on beta 6 I was getting 9 hours usage doing the same browsing, there is something wrong with iOS 7 and apple need to sort it fast.
