For the love of god , please disable the lockscreen battery bar during charging

A single statusbar charge icon is enough, why hide my beautiful wallpaper :p

Ok...

Being jailbroken for about 4 months now and seeing a dramatic increase in my usability and efficiency I would recommend these:

Lock Screen Revamp - Able to launch multiple apps right there from the LS. Don't really care about widgets
Quick Reply Messaging - I hate having to switch apps around just to reply or compose a quick message.
New Input Method - Android and Blackberry have theirs... I've been using Swype and I'm a ton faster composing messages now.
Ability to Select Default Apps - This is a no brainer.. If the app is good enough to pass Apple's strict App Store policies, then it's good enough to be my default. Quit controlling my experiece.
More Robust APIs for Devs - Apps should be integrated better within iOS. Example: If I want to call via Skype or Google Voice I should be able to select that option when I dial rather than having to load up the app. This can be applied to several other functions as well (Facebook chat heads). Don't hamstring your devs.
Document Sharing - Apps need to be able to share files easier
Swiping is cool - I rarely need to press the home button now. I have set different swipe actions to quickly navigate and improve my efficiency in apps and iOS
Quick Toggles - Yep, no brainer

Luckily most of the above I've implemented tweaks to fix and customize MY phone the way I want. If I compromise my experience, then it's on me. But give me a choice to do so. It will be difficult for me to go to a vanilla iOS now that I've grown accustomed to having a device very customized to my needs. If iOS is JUST minor functionality and aesthetic tweaks I'm afraid this will be my last iPhone. BTW, my phone rarely (maybe once a month?) crashes and my battery life doesn't seem diminished at all.

A highly detailed AppleInsider's article, on the way that could take the next iOS: :)

Editorial: Apple's iOS 7 needs exclusive, distinctive features, not just a flat UI

http://appleinsider.com/articles/13...usive-distinctive-features-not-just-a-flat-ui

There's intense interest blooming around reports that Apple plans to revamp the look of iOS 7 with a flatter appearance. But there's more reason to believe that Apple is - or should be - focusing on features, not a radical new appearance.

I wanna be able to send money to my friends using Siri. I'm hoping PassBook gets a huge update. "Hey Siri, send $5 to James".

Does it really matter what Apple does? No matter what they reveal, the tech blogs and commenters will shoot it down and say how bad it is compared to the "almighty" and "saintly" Google....

I hope it's full of exploits so it can be jailbroken. I use an iPhone because I like the design, I want to make the OS my own.

I wouldn't mind a new UI if its good and a nice improvement to siri to surpass Google Now. but what I really is an improved keyboard. I like the idea on blackberry Z10 where it learns the way you type to adapt so less errors occur.

From what I've read, the Z10's learning function relies on a special heat sensor under the display.

I'd like to see real multitasking with the ability to have numerous app windows that can be freely moved and resized, particularly on the iPad.

I would love:

-refined UI
-swipe keyboard
-quick reply for messages
-improved notification center with actions (like Jelly Bean)
-default apps
-unlimited/scrolling folders
-siri/dictation improvements, notably faster dictation
-better integration between apps (i.e. Send an image to an app right from Photos, etc.)

iOS 7 - What do we really want? Let's Discuss!

Hey everyone,

As WWDC draws closer and closer everyone is getting excited for the new version of iOS, iOS 7, that will be presented on June 10th, as Tim Cook confirmed at D11. I was wondering what you guys really want to see in the new version of the OS? Both in design and in new features.
Personally I don't necessarily mind today's design of the OS, and while many "flat design" concepts seem appealing I wouldn't really care for Apple to go that way, unless they do that so as to add new features to the various apps, at which point I'd be really happy. In addition to the new features in the apps I'd like to see Apple open up APIs a little more, again something which Tim hinted at in his interview at D11, such as letting apps integrate with Siri and be able to talk to each other. Lastly I'd love to see more user features being added throughout, as well as improvements to existing features such as adding weekend schedules for Do Not Disturb.

One other thing I'd like Apple to work on, possibly in conjunction with the next OS X as well as iOS 7, is improving their internet services, and adding user features to iCloud. Nothing really specific, however it would be nice if iCloud got some useful organizational tools similar to the ones found in other email providers.

What would you guys like to see? I'd love to hear your thoughts, and I'd love to see this thread develop into a nice discussion about the potential new features in iOS 7.

New UI.

And with that, some new features (like quick-toggle for BT, airplay, brightness, etc.).

That goes for any update to OSX, too -- I want to see a refreshed UI, and say goodbye to the "stoplight".

I've had a feeling for a while now that Apple and Yahoo might get more cozy. Saw a tweet today from someone who works on mobile products at Yahoo who tweetd he had just met with Jony Ive. I wouldn't be surprised to see more integration with Yahoo services.

That'd be nice, wouldn't mind having the new Yahoo weather app as my default.

Plus it would force Yahoo to become really good with services if they had iOS customer base to support. I'm not one who thinks all services should come from Google and Google alone.

All I want is the ability to add custom ringtones without having to sync with iTunes.
Come on apple it's 2013 let's get past the silly restrictions and move to the post PC era.

i don't know if this has ever been mentioned, and i'm not sure if i'm explaining it right, but i'd really like it if they made sure that user input somehow is always given top priority in processing. for example, i'll frequently open up safari and want to input a new search or url, but the interface hangs while the current onscreen webpage auto-refreshes, even though i'm no longer wanting to viewing it.

its a safe assumption that if a user input is occurring, its likely more "urgent" than an already running process, and i'd rather have the background task take a bit longer to run than have to wait for it to complete before i can interact with the device again.

its a more technical request, but definitely one that i think would give a nice perceived speed boost.

 You can already make your own or purchase from the iTunes Store.
I don't want to have to make my own ringtones and text tones and everything in the store (that I've ever come across) is even more childish than what Apple offers stock.

Saying I want less childish tones may make me sound like a stuck-up guy, but I'm far from it. I just want something that sounds professional and not corny. Tri-tone for texts is nice, but almost everyone I know uses it.

I would agree, and I'm not blaming Apple for it. There are a few good options on the iPhone but more of the tri-tone or calypso style would be appreciated.

Finding suitable 3rd party options is unbelievably hard, I have most luck searching Zedge for other phone brands (HTC, for example).

Nothing that hasn't been mentioned a million times before...

Notification Center improvements - increased functionality, swipe to delete, etc.

Quick reply for incoming texts and email (without having to back out of whatever app I'm in).

That's really about it. A refreshed UI could be nice but it could also NOT be nice. It's one of those "be careful what you wish for" things.

Other than that I'm still pretty happy. The hardware rocks, the OS is smooth as silk, ultimately that's what matters most to me.

Would be nice if Apple gave me something I didn't know I needed but would absolutely love. I feel like those days are behind us though.
