My wishlist:

Tried to remain realistic as possible but hopefully Apple isn't just focusing on the new UI and making iOS prettier. iOS still has a lot of problems and very basic issues that need to be addressed. If Apple even adds 50% of these features then it will be a worthwhile update.

Notifications with iCloud sync
Notification Center improvements
New UI for Game Center
Mail app to be more like Gmail or Mailbox app
Notes on part with OS X counterpart
Camera features like a timer, burst shot, etc.
Better way to multitask for iPhone
Continuous improvements for services (Maps, Siri, iCloud, iTunes)

I want iOS to do things instinctively. I think one of the things that *ALL* operating systems get wrong these days is being so user involved in stupid things.

For instance: if I go to Settings/Cellular and turn OFF cellular data for Music.app then the Music app should only show me what music is physically on the device. But the OS should be smart enough to then show me all the music (assuming you have iTunes in the cloud) when I have successfully joined a wifi network. And then the oppotite when I leave the wifi network (to say-drive home from work).

Also, like using geofencing to know I have left my apartment and show me traffic reports and/or weather or my to do list.

I'd love for them to do something like this:

Looks really good in my opinion.

Well obviously the white background would be changeable. I was pointing more towards the new look icons, I think it would be a nice change away from all the current gloss.

Yeah, but I don't really mind the current look.

As far fetched as it may be, I would love the full sized iPad to be a simple version of Mac OS. I would love a Mac OS based iOS. Ill attempt to make a mock up of what I mean.

Does no one want TRUE multitasking? You know, the Jellybean multitasking? With the Note II's window mode?

I want a fingerprint sensor on the home button. That would be so useful, for example. Set different fingers on your hand to launch your favourite apps or play your favourite playlist, set fingers as speed dial in the phone app, program different people's fingers only to be able to access certain apps and features (A mom could program it so her kids can play games or read iBooks on her iPhone but not phone anyone)

Not really, I'm happy with what we have now, maybe a bigger preview of the apps though.

That might come too. It's already available on Cydia as a package called Auxo.

I also want the iPod touch to get battery percentage. I wish Apple would just release 6.1.5 to add this, but I think 6.1.4 is the last 6.x.x version we'll see.

I always wonder - what is TRUE multitasking......

Aside from the side-by-side windows of the Note 2 (which I think is worthless on a screen that size), what is SO different about multitasking on the iPhone versus Android.....

I mean, I can stream to my AppleTV and browse at the same time from my iPhone......I can leave an app that's loading something and come back to it and its loaded. I can play and game, leave the game and come back to right where I was......

"True-Multitasking" is the new "innovation" - a buzzword used that no one can accurately define, or that many people will define differently.

----------

I want to be able to AirPlay something and still be able to use my phone, true multitasking. You can do it with YouTube why not AirPlay.

uhhh you can do this with quite a few apps out there.....its dependent on devs actually making it work, but all the necessary tools are there. HBOGo just updated not too long ago to support this so obviously its possible with the current software and hardware.

Forum Dictionary:

TRUE multitasking = unlimited background processing for third party apps without regard to performance or battery life

FULL internet = Flash support

REAL OS = Desktop OS

Innovation = Invention = Making something completely new without the benefit of any pre-existing materials, knowledge or technology (Basically, there has been no innovation since the Big Bang.)

:D

I see many arguments against adding this feature but I would almost think it is a no-brainer. When I use a Bluetooth keyboard I find great use of arrow keys and I wish that Apple would do something like this with the iOS keyboard.
The photo keyboard is from one of the free note taking programs on my iPad.

Twitterrific does a really good swipe left/right to move one character gesture. It's easy to use and quick; if that was made standard in iOS, it would be quite nice (and take up less space on the keyboard instead of the arrows). :)

I voted for something else. I want TRUE multitasking, not the pseudo multitasking that iOS has. And maybe the Note II's windows.

I DO NOT want that. They'll use up CPU cycles which means that more apps can decrease battery life, reduce the performance available to an app, and will then mean that we'll have to manage our running processes.

Task managing is for savages.

Things have got to evolve some time, you know... :p

True :)

I know, I just don't have a credit card to pay for it, i'm 16.
Btw what do you think, should I keep my iOS 6.1.2 Jailbreak or upgrade to iOS 7 when it comes out?

True :)

Can't you ask your parents to use theirs? It's only $2.

First of all, what iPod do you have? If the 4G, be wary. Check out reviews before deciding or even wait for 7.0.1 or 7.1. If the 5G, then update as long as you don't NEED your JB.

I would love the ability to turn on/off wi-fi, bluetooth, airplane mode and adjust brightness without having to go into Settings. In fact it would be nice to have a "battery saver" icon that shuts down all that, plus any open apps all in one touch.

No my parents don't use credit cards, it's all cash or debit. (My parents are quite well off)

I have a black 64GB iPod touch 5, I just like the jailbreak for some features that iOS 6 doesn't have.

I posted my wish list a month ago, but here is a revised version, in no particular order (along with some hardware features that would be way cool):

Universal Updates:

1) Home button fingerprint sensor.
2) Flatter home design, but keep apps more object lookalikeish.
3) Option to show app names or not.
4) Widgets made by 3rd parties on homescreen that can take up 1-all rows of the device.
5) Same app organization.
6) Ability to 'exact clone' iOS devices (Example: same app setup for all supported apps and same settings for an iPad, iPhone, and iPad Mini)
7) More password options, I love the picture unlock that Windows 8 has.
8) Get rid of newsstand and replace it with iBooks (the app not the features)
9) Ability to 'hide' or delete stock apps.
10) Set our own default apps.
11) 3rd party notification center add-ons
12) Siri API
13) Magic Mouse Support
14) Folders within a folder.
15) The annoying Download Error for videos in iTunes should be fixed.
16) Dynamic Icons

For iPhone/iPod Touch:
1) Brightness in the multi-tasking bar
2) Ability to turn the LED light on in Camera before taking/focusing the picture.
3) Orientation switching support.
4) iPhone: Add vibration feedback option for some iOS things.

For iPad/iPad Mini:
1) Arrow keys on keyboard
2) Ability to add more apps per row
3) Side notification center as opposed to the top.
4) Show the current date on the top bar where the time is and current brightness level.

and my favorite mockup:
