As of Beta 4 I have really taken to it. So much so that I have decided to sell my Galaxy S4 as I just dont find Android enjoyable to use.

I havent had ANY problems with Beta 4 crashing (Beta 3 was horrible for me), I havent had any problems with battery life, and as far as the look of iOS7 goes, well, you can simply change its looked based on what wallpapers you use. In that sense the UI is a bit of a chameleon.

I like it, and it will be interesting to see what fingerprint scanner features are unlocked with the 5S.

I absolutely agree with this.

Beta 4 on my 4S runs like a dream. No crashes or freezes. Depending what wallpaper you use, you can make iOS 7 look elegant. I am loving the new animations (though wouldn't mind if they tweaked some of them to make them appear faster). I restored back to iOS 6 last week and i just hated it (yes it was quicker) but it felt so outdated.

I liked Beta 2 but hated Beta 3. At Beta 4, it is pretty good overall though the headphone music control bug is really irritating to me. That is probably the only thing I don't like.

Everything else looks really good and kind of just works. Part of the reason I like iOS is that it just works. I've grown out of the customize everything phase of my phone I had back in college. I want simplicity in my life and iOS7 is a lot more pleasent to look at than iOS6. The brighter colors may turn off some, actually looks good to me.

Outside of the headphone bug, my only true complaint is that it is basically a requirement to turn off a lot of the extras (reduce motion, live wallpaper, etc...) in order to conserve battery life. I actually think the motion on the home screen looks awesome and oddly natural but it kills my battery. As soon as I shut that off my battery went back to iOS6 levels.

Was iOS7 necessary? Not really but it does look nice and most importantly it is functional. Notification Center is finally useful on the lock screen for me.

It's very refreshing to read a post that's honest and dignified.

Saying that you don't find Android enjoyable is a comment that I respect. This is a stellar example for others to take notice of. Instead of bashing the platform with condescending comments you've relayed how you honestly feel.

No platform is ideal for everyone and in my opinion that fact is to be celebrated. Variety and choices are the keys to creating good products for all.

Cheers :)

I really like it and never go back ios6 ,but need some tweaks i think.

And wooh they should add an option for a black theme, too much white in everywhere..

I haven't used iOS 7, so my opinion is based on the numerous images and youtube videos I've seen. I was horrified when iOS 7 was first revealed, but 2 months on the UI doesn't seem as tacky, but I still dislike it.
The apps have been over simplified and now contain too much harsh/boring white. The use of colour and unnecessary ornamental features in previous versions of iOS is what made it so loveable and enjoyable to use, and I don't think I would get the same feeling from iOS 7. Also, the blue text which has replaced buttons is also quite ugly and unintuitive, and the fact that it apparently takes longer to do basic tasks is rather concerning. Finally, the changes made to Calendar, which is my most used native app appears to be a real step backwards.

Despite all the criticism written above, their are some changes that I really love, such as Control Centre and the new lock screen. I've really tried to like iOS 7 by exposing myself to it regularly, but unfortunately the design hasn't grown on me, and the negatives outweigh the positives. I'll keep my iPhone 4 for another year, but I can't see myself installing iOS 7 or even upgrading to another iPhone if this is the future. Maybe i'll change my tune once I play around with it at the Apple store next month, but I doubt it.

The only animation that really seems too long is the icon fly-in when unlocking. I dont think folder zooms take significantly more time than the folder slideout of prior iOSes.

I honestly love iOS 7. I have used it since beta 1 without reverting and I have no desire to go back to iOS 6.x.x.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not.

Am I content with it? You bet.

Screen shots and YouTube videos really don't do iOS 7 justice. It's much better in person.

I think you're right. The icon fly-in is a neat animation, but it seems to be going in slow motion. Hopefully they'll speed it up between now and the GM.

IOS7 does get boring fast. Its really not as huge of a departure from 6 as they would make it seem. Mainly just new fonts/icons/colors (yuck) still laid out in the same grid with the same dock etc. Wish they would have taken a few more risks with it but it comes off as a safe evolution.

After using it daily I've come to like it a lot. Each beta gets more stable and improves on the GUI usability. They are very close to a new excellent OS.

If iOS 7 was good, I'd be on the beta right now instead of on iOS 6. But I can't.

It feels unfinished, no uniformity within OSX or iOS(!), white hurts my eyes, bright colors for kids. Too much txt instead of icons compared to iOS6. The biggest pita is taking away functionality.

Wish they left iOS6 and just added the new bits like control centre

Make sense considering it's a beta.

I really like it. Main wish is they speed up the animations, they just take too long compared to iOS 6.

my only major complaint with iOS 7 is the folders. yes we have pages in them now but we also only see 9 at a time - very bad choice imo.

Also dont like how the folder takes up the screen. I prefer the old drawer style - it was much easier to place apps in/out of the folders.

other than that I really like iOS 7. It lays the groundwork for future updates and added functionality that we couldnt have in iOS6 and earlier

Did you even read his post?
I'm sick of that stupid "it's a beta" repsonce..

I read his post. He made some valid points ("white hurts my eyes" "too much txt instead of icons compared to iOS6") but he led off with "It feels unfinished," which is a strange complaint to make about a beta version of software. It feels unfinished because it is unfinished. That's what "beta" means.

People tend to get the "it's a beta" response when they complain about things that are to be expected in a beta, like bugs and lack of polish. But notice I said, "complain," not "comment on." We're in an iOS 7 discussion board, so it's perfectly fine to talk about bugs and sluggishness and other things-to-be-expected-in-a-beta. But to complain about them and cite them as reasons not to like iOS 7 deserves an "it's a beta" response every time.

I'm gonna remember your username. What will be said when the GM comes out?

When the GM comes out, it will be finished software. Technically, iOS is never truly "finished" as Apple is always working to add features a improve it overall.

finally someone else who dislikes the 3X3 grid for Folders. I don't know why they couldn't have kept it at 4X4.
