To apple

just put an option for animation in settings let folks turn off all animations.

Easy fix and would probably speed up ios7 on iphone 4 as well.

This.

As someone who got motion sickness from the film Cloverfield, even I find this pathetic.

I can't watch that film either, or use these 3D simulation rides - but I don't get motion sickness from my iPhone...

I find it worlds more pathetic that people who have already experienced the same phenomenon under other circumstances still can't seem to find any compassion or understanding in their hearts for others who experience the phenomenon just because the circumstances are different. As if the issue isn't worthy of recognition because it was triggered for these people by a handheld device rather than a theatrical film. What kind of logic is that?

Maybe you'll understand if it's reversed and thrown back in your face:

"You get sick watching Cloverfield? Wow. How totally pathetic. I get sick from looking at my phone, but not from watching movies. Losers... Some people just live to complain. Next they'll be suing the movie theater!"

The derisive dismissal of the issue when it doesn't personally affect you makes no sense in either direction.

3D animation is rendered frame by frame, and is usually softer overall. Look at a Pixar/DreamWorks movie and then look at the GAMEPLAY of any of the Infinity Blades, Lili, Temple Run, etc which is programmed and controlled by the person playing it. It tends to be a lot sharper.

Hence why people don't complain about animated movies in general. But there are a lot of health warnings about playing video games. It's getting better every few years though.

There are certain organisms on this planet that should not exist. These people are part of that group. Oh my God. How do these freaks play games or watch videos? Or do they just use their devices to prop up their mutant heads? I hope Apple doesn't make ANY changes and writes these losers off as the ridiculous whiney cretins that they are.

Not to single you out specifically, but what an attitude you folks have. I love the animations, hate the overly simple flat icons where there are such beautiful graphics possible, LOVE parallax.

But I know several people who are genuinely bothered, as in it is unpleasant for them to see too much motion. So why not take the feedback and add an accessibility option to stop them.

This whole "I love it, so shut the hell up" is really odd, and really points to who the cretins are.

I agree. Those people must not be smart enough to TURN ON REDUCE MOTION!
At least they are smart enough to read the whole article and even some of the posts in this thread before making a pointless post. How's that for a FAIL?

You've got issues.
