Bug fixes:
  • Fixes and addresses a problem where ringtones purchased through the iTunes Store may have been removed from your device.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements for Camera, Photo and Passbook app as well as their underlying frameworks. This is shown through file system changes.

Bugs
  • Double E-mail notification bug still present
  • Still can't close iCloud Tabs
  • Wallpaper creation is still broken - Perspective Zoom is enabled, but there is no motion in the preview until you turn Perspective Zoom off and on again
  • SpringBoard status bar is still broken sporadically when the wallpaper is light and the status bar is supposed to be dark, causing light statusbar on light wallpaper, with an unreadable result
  • Custom keyboards still do not animate properly when showing, causing an ugly jump.
  • Sometimes after watching videos via Safari, can't close video by pressing "Done" button.
  • Location based reminders again is broken
  • Battery Usage Stats disappears when you power down your phone and turning it back on.
  • Search a text via Safari browser for pdf files doesn't work.

I'm not sure but i think spotlight search is much faster and the overall performance is better
Even the benchmark score is a little a bit higher

These stupid updates always seem to highlight trivial issues and don't mention the important stuff! Ringtones??? Pfft!
Anyway, I've downloaded it and will see if any of the bugs I'm experiencing are fixed....and if any new ones have been introduced.#

They are not trivial if you bought the tones, re-bougt and had spend the time to contact Apple to get reimbursed and then make sure you got the credit--;):)

Can you close iCloud tabs with this, or is it still borked like previous 8.1.1 release? Good job :apple:, releasing patches and breaking more stuff than fixing. Should I even mention "wi fi"?

Still broken but there is a workaround. If you close the tabs then close safari from the multitasking tray and go back into safari the iCloud tabs will be gone and will also disappear on other devices. So it still works but it requires the extra step. Better than nothing for now I guess.

Those pesky iCloud tabs disappear after a few days. Just make sure you don't ever create any...

Wow. Just Wow. I can't believe still care about these things. Especially when it's an increase of about 1%. Not to mention the score varies every time the test is run.

Anyone who lost purchased ringtones take this update.

Wondering if you still lost any ones you made.

I lost both types on 8.1.1 and am not in a mood to redo any of them atm--just some medical things going on--:)

iOS 8.1.2 fresh bugs!

Here's a major one.

I updated to 8.1.2 on my iPhone 5S a couple hours ago, and Spotlight no longer searches app names, and yes that option is checkmarked in Settings.

If I can find a workaround to this, I'll update this post.

Any other fresh new bugs?

I don't think thats a BUG. It's just something they have not implemented. Surely if it was a bug, the option would be there but it wouldn't do anything?

What did 8.1.2 break?

Nothing so far.

Working fine for me. Have you tried a restart? Unchecking and rechecking the option in Spotlight settings?

That was there with 8.1.1 if not even some earlier updates. Something about Spotlight either needing to potentially re-index things or glitching out after an update.

App store badges are still displayed despite apps being updated via iTunes.

I'm getting the same problem. I restarted my phone but it doesn't work still.

UPDATE: Spotlight seems to work now. C DM was probably right about spotlight needing to re-index everything.

I tried exactly that. No difference.

So I did it again. And this time it seems to have worked.

Bug fixes:
  • Safari browser copy paste bug fixed

Safari browser copy paste bug was fixed in 8.1.1 rather than 8.1.2. I know that because i did it a lot of times in 8.1.1 and it was fixed from there
