iOS 8.1.2 Bug Fixes/Changes

The update only talks about ringtones?….I have an issue with texting where it freezes. I can't type or go back to Messages until I bring it out of landscape. It won't respond to any touch. Sometimes when I go into landscape, the screen blacks out too :roll eyes:

I'm not sure if this a software or hardware thing.
 
I just hope someday they fix the terrible noise reduction issues with the camera sometime...I tested it last night and today, over a dozen photos with various lighting, still got that terrible noise...(6+). With optical image stabilization, this shouldn't be happening. They really need to tweak their noise reduction algorithms.

LOL that's some funny S*** right there! I would hope it always stayed that way! ha
 
Freezing or disappearing of apples keyboard is an iOS 8 bug or is a kind of conflict/bug from using 3rd party keyboards too ?

I updated to 8.1.2 on my iPhone 5S a couple hours ago, and Spotlight no longer searches app names, and yes that option is checkmarked in Settings.



If I can find a workaround to this, I'll update this post.

I don't have this problem and never have. iOS 8.1.2 works great.

It doesn't only talk about ringtones.
 
Jesus, Apple! Images still have status bar overlay when opening from Messages app :(
 
Any Verizon iPhone 6 users notice that you no longer switch to LTE during a phone call if connected to wifi? Prior to 8.1.1, if connected to wifi and in LTE area and a call came in, the display would change to LTE symbol during the call and go back to wifi after the call ended. Now it just stays on wifi. Cant tell if anything is different other than the symbol changing but wondering if anyone else is seeing this now?
 
Does your device heat too much? My 5s is sometimes hot when using simple tasks.

please tell me about "wifi", I have a wifi problem after installing the latest update. 8.1.2.
 
Seems like Quick type predictive text is no longer available if you split keyboard on the ipad.

Yup. It happens to me, also. Sometimes I'll just close the app and restart it. So many bugs, geez.
 
On my 6 Plus, when I go to Privacy > Diagnostics & Statistics, I am seeing a ton of splashboardd logs (appears every time when the screen is on), and the time stamp is always the time when I turn on my screen. What is this? I really hope apple will fix this issue because it's getting annoying.
 
no issues...at least for me. i am using apps from the App Store that are updated to iOS 8/ new iPhones, and for me they run great and look great and essentially never crash for me
