I haven't experienced any of those issues they fixed.

----------

-Restore your phone as NEW
- Do not sign in to any iCloud accounts
- Do not restore any backups
- Do not install any 3rd party apps.
- Use your phone for a week

If after a week all the issues you have been reporting are gone:

- Login to iCloud and do nothing else. Observe for a few days.
- Install 3rd party apps 1 at a time and observe for a few days.

There HAS to be something different in your configuration that is causing you so much grief compared to the rest of us on the 6+ that don't have any issues.

That's a good plan and also thought something has to be different for Sun. We addressed that similarly in Android when having Rooting issues.

Lag (delay) in answering incoming calls

They need to address the following:

- slide to answer not working for a few seconds when receiving a call

I hope they fix this issue. It is very annoying.
After "sliding to answer" it is required to wait for 2 seconds to hear the calling person. Meanwhile, the phone continues ringing and vibrating.

Glad they are fixed the iTunes to music syncing issue. When on the go, I would plug in my iPhone to sync up new songs, only to later find out that none have made it. :(

Still no mention of the "unable to download item, try again later" error message"

This error message has been plaguing many devices since iOS eight. Numerous requests for a fix on the Apple forums but no response from Apple. If this is a bug that can't be fixed by an update and requires a visit to the Apple Store they could at least let us know. Many of us do not want to completely wipe our devices in order to get rid of it if the fix is up coming. I personally hesitate to buy music or movies for fear that the situation will be aggravated. This error message shows up randomly with no rhyme or reason and is very frustrating, as it stops you dead in the middle before watching movies, YouTube, instant message etc. etc. requiring a response to cancel it. This needs to be addressed. And soon.

I would rather eat pinecones than have to navigate the Google Music app ever again. Even when I had the Nexus 6, which is pure Android, I had a lot of issues with Google Music, from the 2-3 seconds it took for the app to load, to the overall clunkiness of the app. Not saying the iOS Music App is perfect (I still hate how you can't sort by album within Artist view without having to scroll endlessly), but it's still much better than Google Music, imo.

The pinecone comment made me laugh :)

Interestingly I've found Google Play Music excellent, I use it throughout the day trouble free. Been using it for some time. Apparently YMMV.

Yeah its good if you want to store all your music in the cloud, some of us have 64 and 128GB devices so we like to store our music locally - iOS Music app is just rubbish, i would recommend Ecoute for an alternative player but until Apple let us choose default apps it's still an annoyance

I most certainly agree with keeping not only music but all ones data backed up locally. I only use cloud services for convenience, non personal / mission critical files. Everything I have created / collected is stored / archived in one place, it securely resides on my NAS equipped server that features a robust, expandable, 4 TB of storage capacity. Having just over 15 years of files securely stored it's very handy and provides piece of mind. In addition I have off-site copies of my entire server as well. One who has a fierce commitment to backups and security, it's worth all the money and time I put onto it.

I think folks you put everything to the cloud without "ground based" backups are going to be in a lot of trouble in the not to distant future--:(

What do you mean...

(Should have put a question mark, just keeping the ellipsis train going :D)
That some things don't affect some or even most people while they do or can affect some others (more than just a single person).

True, and that's the point I was trying to make. I found it ironic that someone who is constantly plagued with bugs is indifferent to the plight of others that experience bugs that he doesn't.

Well, there can certainly be that too...

Well said... :)

Just look at the ASC thread on iOS 8 Wi-Fi problems, now 130 pages long. I am one of those having problems with Wi-Fi and the upcoming 8.2 does not appear to address this issue. As you can see from the thread it has been going on for 6 months. Apple has called a lot of the posters there (me included) but no solution has been found.

I want the landscape keyboard to be like the one in portrait just bigger to adjust for the rotation. None of this designated things that they added. At least make it to where the user can toggle it off and on.

I also don't like the split screen thing in email and the safari browsing experience in safari. The tab icon needs to be at the bottom not at the top.

any idea what time will the update hit on iphones tomorrow?

Given that there's an event tomorrow it's questionable if it will actually come out tomorrow, and if it might whether or not it will be at the more usual time (of around 10 AM US Pacific) or some other time perhaps after the event.

Hoping that it fixes the Spotlight bugs.. Keyboard not showing up...
My messages app crashes a lot.. But not while I am in it. Only when I reopen it.. have to force close the messages app. Not sure if its because my messages database is 11 gigs..
Also notification center isn't displaying notifications properly. I have it set to sort by time and its random.. Not even in a fixed order.

I want these to be fixed:

- select/copy/paste disappearing too fast from safari
- loss of password from home SSID only
- slow portrait/landscape orientation change

It's really bugging me that Sun is not having the same good experience that I am even though he has the same phone. :(
