iOS 8.3 beta 4 Bug Fixes and Changes

While I'm driving and using turn by turn directions, I'm occasionally presented a prompt that states an alternate route is available (along with brief information about the route) that would save me x number of minutes and I can choose to accept the new route or cancel the prompt.



I'll try to get a screenshot the next time it appears.

That'd be nice and I'll have to look out for this next time I use navigation. Previously, Apple Maps would reroute me without letting me know. It may save a little time but some routes were chosen on purpose.

When driving from Houston to Abilene, I like to detour through Austin. I've picked that route before and ended up driving through Waco and completely avoiding Austin because Apple Maps wanted to save me some time after I specifically chose the route through Austin.

My 5S has had incredibly fast battery drain on 8.3 for the past few days and I finally found what it was. Photos "Background activity". Anyone know what this is? Photos isn't listed under Background App Refresh in settings.

I think this is new. If you try and hit the insert link button on macrumors safari crashes instantly.

notification center display issue

Anyone seeing the display issue with the calendar in notification center? See below:

Did you try rebooting? It fixed the problem for me.

I noticed you too have the "--" where the temperature should be listed in the expected high of the day. I thought it was just me? Is that a feature or something or is it a bug?

Where does the screenshot folder show up in Photos? I'm not seeing it.

Yeah that is random. It updates periodically but no rhyme or reason. Also 8.3 final did not fix the calendar display issue.
