i am unfortunately very OCD about the battery and it is ruining my iPhone experience. i even hate myself for it but i just cannot stop. i literally check what may be the cause of the percentage drop in the battery settings every half hour or so and keep restoring my iphone to new every month or so because i feel like the phone isnt running as long as it could. same reason i got location services and background refresh turned off

also there seems to be a general issue with my 6. just yesterday it turned itself off at around 18% telling me to charge it and when i plugged it in it started to charge at 19%

Dude, just TURN OFF battery percentage. You are worrying too much about it.

Turning off the percentage meter won't help with a potential real issue that might be behind it turning off at 18%.

Can anyone with the beta possibly show the fixed folder corner glitch.
It only took them 1.5 years so we should celebrate and make it a memorial day :D

Yeah. Just like it took them around the same amount of time to release 7.1 to the public, which fixed a lot of bugs and finally made iOS 7 usable with those faster animations.

Apple just replaced my 6+ (low earpiece volume), so now the phone needs to be re-authorized for the beta program.

My question is, should I even bother? I never really noticed much difference in the betas.

Yeah, the folder corner glitch has been there since 7.0 I believe.
In general it's probably the reason they are slowing down this year with features, at least judging by the news reports.

Oh great. My Siri and dictation stopped working. Siri just takes a while and then says sorry cannot connect and dictation just doesn't do anything.

I've tried restarting, turning Siri off and on, and resetting network settings. Nothing.

Why does something always break with these releases? I don't mean just the beta of 8.3; with 8.1.2 my Match would occasionally break until I did a restart. With 8.2 my battery suffered and iCloud sync would be kind of crappy. And now Siri's broken. These issues aren't there from the beginning; rather they seem to take a week or so to pop up and I'm getting a little bored with DFU restoring to be honest.

Are the any new keyboard languages with quick type support? I would love to ditch swiftkey.

Nope. All Apple cares for is English speaking world and the few major languages. Siri now speaks Danish and how many years ago now is it Siri was released? So don't expect Apple to give a **** for a few more years when it comes to keyboard quick type

I tend to believe the Siri issues you're having are backend related and not specific to iOS 8.3 beta 4.

I've been using Hey Siri in my car for months and it stopped working correctly four or five days ago while nothing else has changed on my device. There are also no reported crashes on my device.

I don't know anymore. :/

Currently doing a DFU restore...AGAIN.

Sad but true. At least I finally got Siri in Swedish. Would love quick type.

Edit: Was just thinking about quick type and apple watch. They will have Siri in Swedish ready for when the watch arrives here. But the watch is also supposed to have quick type where if you get a text saying for example pizza or hamburger. On the watch you'll then get those two suggestions to reply. So my guess is all languages that have Siri might get quick type soon as well. At least I hope.

This beta shows a new Apple Pay setup screen when you restore your phone. The picture of the card swaps between a Visa, MasterCard and American Express card and the only option is to hit next. From there you can scan the card or enter it manually, or if you choose, you can just select "Enter later from Passbook" to get past this screen. Also has a new screen if you have an iPad mini 3/Air 2 as shown. iPad screen is stationary so no card swapping on its screen.

I don't think it's the last beta. It's still a bit buggy. Also Apple always releases betas on Monday or Tuesday don't they?

Nope. Just the last beta (iOS 8.3 beta 3) was released on a Thursday. Several others in the past have been released on various days.

Anyone else having problems with maps? I try to get directions but I get an error constanltly. Most times it doesn't even render

Usually, yes. I was thinking Monday (and meant Monday) but said tomorrow. #

Having Friday off due to the Easter holiday has me off a bit.

Maps have been working fine for me. Anyone notice re-routing prompts due to traffic now in iOS 8.3 beta 4 (I saw them for the first time beginning in beta 2)?

Since Apple Maps was released, not once have I had a traffic re-routing prompt but get them occasionally now in the iOS 8.3 betas.

Rare bug, but it happened...

- When using Carplay with Guidance turned on for going to a location, if you take a phone call where the Phone screen is in focus, and the Map gives guidances for directions after the call the Maps area will show a blank area where the notification area was after going back into the Maps screen.

Hmm I'll submit a big report today.

Does the re-routing need a confirmation or is it like when you miss a turn and it re-routes?

I tried beta 4 on my r mini but after 5 minutes a came back to 8.2. I just discovered this really annoying bug between iphone and ipad: if facetime is disabled on any of the devices or even both, the call feature still works for the ipad. In order to disable it, you have to enable facetime and than disable "iphone cellular calls".The problem is that even if you disable facetime with "phone cellular calls" on, calling or receiving calls still works on ipad. Is this bug still present in this build?

While I'm driving and using turn by turn directions, I'm occasionally presented a prompt that states an alternate route is available (along with brief information about the route) that would save me x number of minutes and I can choose to accept the new route or cancel the prompt.

I'll try to get a screenshot the next time it appears.

Alright thanks! This sounds like a nice feature.
