This thread is funny

The article came out almost 24 hours ago yet there are only 51 post complaining.

One can conclude that file access is not a priority for the majority of the people who visit this site.

Apparently, Apple is not doomed.

Are you taking this site's userbase as a whole sample of Apple users? Keep telling yourself that.
Surely Apple is not doomed, but the user definitely is.

What about.....performing a (unencrypted) backup, using software to modify the backup (ie: deleting or adding files), then restoring the backup?

I remember I had to do this when a friend's phone had so many text messages the phone was having a hard time deleting them..

Read it again.
There was no reference in the post you quote to "as a whole sample of Apple users".

Be that as it may, sore subjects on Macrumors tend to bring people out the woodworks.

Apparently this isn't one of them.

I imagine anyone with any self respect who tries to manage data in third party apps - or transfer music or photos - to their IOS device with iTunes goes into a blind rage yelling and wanting to bash someone at Apple.

Or is it just me and everyone I've ever met?

Isn't it time Apple grew up and regressed this pile of junk back to its music playing roots? IOS deserves mature file management. This cobbled together half-written rubbish, that's now mandatory, is an insult to its customers.

You're a disgrace Apple. Jobs is dead. You're ridiculously rich. You don't need to keep ****ing us over.

Been there done that. Use Media Monkey these days. It does not screw me over like iTunes. Now, it gets to the point with my 4S where when I use iTunes, I get 20 million error messages and, I am unable to disable them (sync maualy on BOTH itunes devices [Even when I am quick, the pop ups come up before I can uncheck the box])

Media monky has no problems when dealing with my iPhone

Overall, I do not like the new Apple. With the UI, company management, lazyness, and the quality/crippling of there products, the company that I once loved will fall again.

That's what jailbreaking allows, so don't be jealous. Just jailbreak.

Lol I was about to write the entry for this one and got called up to the board in school (senior year). So, I wrote my answer on the board and took a pickture to put here XD

Yup then I will learn how to do that. :D I never felt the need to JB but I would give it a try

same
I have never jailbroken a iOS device because I have never had the need to. However, a jailbreak woud benifit my iOS 6.1.6 iPod because, I would be able to close apps more efficently and, keep my device more secure and, customize some of those lame Apple Apps.

At least I know how to change the default jailbreak password ;)

How to set up "iTunes File Sharing"

How can I set up "iTunes File Sharing" for 千尋影視?

iOS apps on macs

hello, I am new here. I have a macbook pro Retina 15 inch Late 2013. I also have CP, so I can't use a cell phone with my hands (yet I do have a iPhone 5c). Is there any way to get my iPhone apps on my macbook? I would greatly appeachate any help!!!!!!!!!

Good news for PC users (sorry for Mac ones).

iFunbox has a newer version that works fine. I hope iMazing for Mac follows soon. I've lost hope for the Mac version of iFunbox since that program hasn't been updated since 2013.

What security problem gets solved by this, that is not already solved by not plugin your phone into untrusted computers?

A trusted but hacked computer could get access to data that it shouldn't be able to access. "Trusted" doesn't mean "safe".

Not really. It still doesn't allow me to save files to all app folders where I could before, because only apps with "file sharing allowed" can be accessed. Before, iFunBox could access them regardless of the file sharing setting.

I really want to jailbreak 8.3 badly now. I know I can revert back to 8.2 instead, but that has broken third-party keyboards, so I can't. Stuck for the moment.

True. On the bright side TaiG could be waiting for 8.4 to jailbreak the heck out of it. I believe they are saving there resources for 8.4 to stabilize the bridge between 8.x and iOS 9.

Kinda sad how long the wait has been but, hopefully it will be over soon!

So this won't work with regular apps from the App Store?

it can also be done with regular apps,
for that we have to make backup of the app, resign the app using instasign or imodsign ,install it using Xcode then we can view our app in Installed Apps Section of Xcode

That's what I figured. I remember doing something similar a while back for tests. More work that it's worth IMO.
