I've been having these on my iPhone 6, iOS 8.3, just the last two or three days. I've had at least a dozen. I only see one diagnostic log though, a JetsamEvent about ten minutes ago.

I have had 1 random reboot since the 8.3 update. (Installed when it was first released)

iPhone 6

Lots of randoms on iPad Air 2

Don't recall having issues with reboots yet on my iPhone 6.

Lately issues with iPad Air 2.

Doesn't load Internet. Seems like an issue when updating apps.

Today I Was listening to music and it just rebooted.

8.2 and before didn't have these issues. New since updating to 8.3. Probably 5-8 reboots so far. Ugh.

Well I took mine into Apple because it was happening dozens of times a day. Unfortunately they didn't give me a real diagnosis, because a month ago I accidentally set my phone in a cup of coffee while sleeping in a long car ride.
So maybe it was due to long term water damage; it just seemed strange that it took a month for anything to start malfunctioning.

try doing a a restore with itunes and set it up has new and not from a backup

when i do IOS updates like 8.2 8.3 and so on i all ways too a clean install of IOS i olny do OTA updates for small updates

does not occur on both my 5s and mini 2 retina about 1 week.

i think that was an app side issue, it's updated and the problem is gone.

and before doing that. i logged out on app store and log in back again. maybe that fixed it.. we'll see it's ok or not.

Also random springboard restarts (no full reboots) here as well on iOS 8.3.

Behaviour on my devices:
- iPad 4: Almost daily restarts, often 4-6 times in a row (often when using the App Store app)
- iPhone 6: One random reboot so far
- iPad Air 2: No problems yet

Are any of you getting an error? CRC! That's a sign of failing hardware. My iPhone 5 was doing this constantly on 8.3, and since I've gotten a 6 Plus and its operating lovely :) no reboots was on 8.3 for 3 weeks, then went to 8.4 public beta no issue.

I've had a couple reboots since updating to iOS 8.3 and they have become quite frequent in the last month or so. It's becoming a weekly occurrence. I have a 128gb iPhone 6.

Been happening since day 1 of release.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6550902?start=0

It mostly happens with 128gb models and the number of apps.
A few sites say it's because of the the triple level nand flash.

Seems to be more stable on zoomed view if that helps.

that's definitely a software issue.. (memory management) not just 6 128 gb models

5,5s and iPads also occuring that issue..and i hope 8.4 will solve all of that

I've started having springboard crashes on both my iPhone 5s (32 GB) and iPad Air 2 (128 GB) recently (both on iOS 8.3). Usually what happens is one device will start to become temporarily unresponsive (tapping does nothing). The device will appear to be recover and then have a springboard crash. What's really odd is that when that happens my other device will usually springboard crash within a minute. This started a few weeks ago. I've only had about 6 crashes total within the last few weeks, but 4 of them were in the last week.

My last one was this evening. I started downloading an app from the App Store on my iPhone and updates also started downloading. I was switching back and forth between apps when I suddenly the phone stopped responding for about 10 seconds. It recovered and then froze again. It recovered again and then the springboard crashed. I then went to use my iPad and it springboard crashed as well.

Other than the occasional sprint crash under 8.1, I didn't have springboard crashes. Certainly none under 8.2. I think some of the crashes might be caused by the Mail app when frequently gets stuck "loading", but this last time I wasn't using the mail app.

iOS 8.3 Random Reboots

On my iPhone 6 plus, ever since day one of using iOS 8.3, there are random reboots (respring to be exact), most of them happen when I open the app switcher.

i'm not alone about this.. happened both on my mini 2 retina and 5s

specially that happens after updating big sized apps (80-110 mb) one drive, one note, skype are the suspicious apps for me now.

don't play with your idevice until updating progress finishes. There may be some memory management issues with 8.3 and unfortunately 8.4 beta 2 did the same issue. don't know about beta 3..already sent a bug report about it..hope they'll fix it in 8.4

and i took a backup and did a DFU restore..put on my backup back but NOT syncronized apps back to device..downloaded manually on the app store again.. try this and maybe it can solve that issue..my devices are flawless since 1 week.

I've started having springboard crashes on both my iPhone 5s (32 GB) and iPad Air 2 (128 GB) recently (both on iOS 8.3).

I have been having the exact same springboard crashes on my iPhone 5s (64GB) and my iPad Air 2 (128GB) on iOS 8.3. My iPhone 5s has crashed about 5 or 6 times since I installed 8.3 when it came out.

I have experienced crash issue since day one.

I thought it was a hardware problem at first and had my first 128gb 6+ replaced at an Apple Store. The random crash happened again for the first time on my second 128gb 6+ just now.

It mostly happens when I use the home button to switch apps. The diagnostic log suggest it was the springboard process. It never happened to me on my 16gb 5s.

I suspect this is a software and ram management issue. I'll hold off replacing the one I have and monitor the situation for a while.

I'm somewhat glad that I'm not the only person reporting this. Apple please fix!!!

Zero random reboots under iOS 8.3. One random reboot under all versions of iOS 8 (my one occurrence happened while running iOS 8.1.3).

FWIW, on every major interval iOS update, I restore the device as new before installing the update (and then restoring the data and apps from a local iTunes backup). And for every other iOS update, I always use iTunes rather than the OTA update.

Happened on my iPhone 5s (32 GB) again today. It was playing music and then later it wasn't and I noticed the control center had nothing listed and the usage screen showed lines instead of usage time. I noticed a bunch of apps updated, but I didn't get the App Store update notification.

I'm pretty sure the Springboard crash is triggered by app updates (not every time, but periodically). I guess a workaround would be to turn off updates.

I recently bought an iphone 5s 16 gb and updated it to ios 8.3.Aftr a few days I experienced a reboot ..The next day it shut itself down with white screen and black logo and kept doing that for a while! Is it a hardware or software problem?

I am having exactly the same problem after updating to the iOS 8.3,

It worked all well before 8.3

Been happening on my iPhone 6 since updating to iOS 8.3. There's a ton of "jetsam" events crash logs in the diagnostics section. Any way to pinpoint which app is causing this?
