being that you're on EE, i'm assuming UK, so possible that it was released early on overseas servers? Might be coming later tonight, but kind of odd that the build number change is so slight.

The fact theres a beta 3 is even more infuriating. By now most have realized Apples beta process doesn't fix many bugs as we are on 8.4 thats a piece of garbage.

and you say ''public beta 3''

are you sure it was written as iOS 8.4.1 beta 3 ?

100% sure it said Public Beta 3. Guys, to be fair, it may be a UK only upgrade to correct something they may have discovered with Apple Pay given that it has just launched here. That said, it doesn't make much sense that it's only a minor bug fix and the download was 1.3Gb.

Beta 2 was rubbish on my iPad. I was getting a good 2h less battery life. This iteration seems to be better in that aspect but by now, who knows what they're doing...

All I know is that the new Music app is the mother of all bugs.

There is no public beta for 8.4.1 at all. No public beta 1, no public beta 2 and definitely no public beta 3.

Yes, there is.
Beta.apple.com ; choose iOS, scroll down to where it says iOS 8 beta and you can download the configuration profile. That's what I did.

Both 8.4.1 beta 1 and beta 2 have only been seeded to developers. There has been no public beta for 8.4.1. And there is no beta 3 that somehow only you in the entire world got.

actually, anyone that was on the iOS 8 public beta would still be receiving these updates. There is a possibility that there was a PB for just the UK as he stated, but doing it country by country would be unlike anything they have done before. There also is a profile for just iOS 8 updates from the PB page.

I have an iPad that's still enrolled in the iOS 8 beta program. There's no 8.4.1 betas outside of the developer program.

Exactly as chrfr above me said. The iOS 8 profile doesn't have 8.4.1 because it was never in the public beta program. 8.4 beta 3 was (NOT 8.4.1)

And no way would a beta be only released to just one specific region and not even the region Apple lives in.

gotcha, makes sense. I don't have any devices still on the public iOS 8 profile, so I wouldn't have known.

I am on 8.4.1 beta 2 DP...I use hangouts for texting and noticed there is no icon! The only way to open it is go to the app store and type in Hangouts and click open. Anybody else have this problem?

So it doesn't seem like any new 8.4.1 betas have been released this week (at least not so far), and especially not some sort of public betas (let alone public beta 3), right?

Considering iOS 9 is going to drop in 4-5 weeks, I would think 8.4.1 will drop very soon but who knew it would be in beta for so long.
They could postpone iOS 9 release and ship new iPhones with 8.4.1. I would prefer such scenario because I saw what chaos iOS 7 brought and would be cool if they release properly prepared software...

There's no way that will EVER happen. New version of iOS always ships on the new phone. Releasing 8.4.1 in September makes no sense since by then iOS 9 would be out. We are already in beta 5 of iOS 9.

I'm not getting my hopes up. 8.4.1 isn't going to fix the lag and I'm not going to update to find out because then there will officially be no way to get back to 8.3 (which SUCKS that they do that).

for a .1 release they sure are taking there time with this.. approaching a month being in beta? the first beta was released july 14th.. its August 11th now and still no final release o_O
