A few questions for those using the new Music app:

1. During one of the iOS 8 releases, a bug was introduced that has made it impossible to change the year of an album. If you change the year of an album in iTunes, it will not sync (or propagate if you're using iTunes Match) over to the Music app. Has this been fixed?

2. The "sort album" tags also have not worked in the Music app since iOS 7.1, preventing users from sorting their albums in any order that they want. Has this also been fixed?

3. Are there any settings, be it in the Music app or in Settings, that allow you to turn off "Recently Added"?

Thanks!

I can only answer question 3. The answer is no, there are no settings for that.

CarPlay now has support for iBooks Audiobooks.

The App Store and iTunes now use the system font set. Mine's on the smallest font size and the fonts are definitely smaller on both stores.

If you're in shuffle mode and add some songs to Up Next, what happens when the Up Next songs are finished? Does the music stop or does it switch back to shuffle mode?

Incredible how little information can be displayed at a 10'' screen. Perfect example of most current iPad UI problems: very big icons, lots of empty space, artificially limited to the iPhone functionality. Hopefully Apple makes some adjustments in the next betas. So far thanks for sharing.

Can someone please answer the question on the artist>album view? This is my biggest annoyance with the music app today regarding the amount of scrolling I have to do if I have a lot of albums under one artist.

How stable is 8.4? Is the battery drain significantly worse than 8.3?

Seems stable aslong as you don't use the music app. The music app as quite a few bugs I have come across such as nonfeatured iTunes Radio stations crashing music.

Scrolling has been ugly on Music app for the whole iOS tenure...

Does the new app features brings back the seamless scrolling it used to be there...?

What happens now on landscape mode on an iPhone 6?

Are albums under Artist view collapsed now?

Funny How Tim Cook and Phil Schiller get up on stage every year and make fun of how android tablet apps are simply scaled up versions of the phone apps.......yeahhhhhhhhh.

Common sense seems to escape you. Had I not seen the "first post", I would not have asked the question - "Is AirPlay broken for 'everybody?'"
Seems like that was a rhetorical question to point out the answer and that it was already provided earlier.

The video on front page is even worse. There is really a singular button, which opens a select menu for the artist/album/songs/genre/composers view in My Music while the rest of the top bar is empty. The iO7 way was probably to crowded, i couldn't think of any possibility how they can put something back in the bottom bar. Definitely no space. My Music, Playlist and Radio is blocking everything. Oo

Overall, I think this is a great step forward. I think we'll definitely see some changes over the next couple of months before it's introduced at WWDC.

I really want to try this on my 6 Plus but not sure I feel like messing with it. I downloaded the .ipsw file just waiting to read some more feedback before I pull the trigger.

Seems februarian was asking for clarification - is it broken for everybody?

Sometimes people add stuff to these wiki posts because it randomly affected them once rather than being a consistent issue for a wide number of users. Determining this about a bug is useful.
