Changes:
- The description space under Featured Stations in Radio is now color-matched to the station color/art image.
- Music Videos now play as videos where album art usually is in the music app.
Bug Fixes:
- Some in-app purchases which weren't working with beta 1 are now fixed.
- Graphical Tearing present in Beta 1 while minimizing the mini-player is now gone on some devices (Air 2 only confirmed as of right now). Still present on 6 Plus.
- Shuffle problem where having the Music app in Shuffle mode would cut 90% of songs off partway through seems to have been fixed. Still unknown if the bug from 8.0 is still present where only certain songs would do this.
New Bugs:
- Artwork on Smart Playlists are now just gear icons. There is also no way to set your own artwork for smart playlists on iPads.
- Some songs played via iTunes Radio may show in Smart Playlists and in the Apple Watch Music app while controlling your iPhone's music remotely.
- On the Air 2, elements could render incorrectly and out of space when flipping through My Music & Playlists.
- Under Settings>General>About, the video count now includes all songs. (I.e if you have 10 videos on your device and 50 songs, it will show 50 songs but 60 videos.) Does not affect left over storage however.
Existing Bugs: (from previous seeds/releases)
- Most songs would still fail to indicate whether they are on the device for iTunes Match users.
Known Issues:
iTunes Store:
- Featured iTunes Radio stations may have duplicate entries.
- When viewed in landscape mode on iPad, Buy buttons in Top Charts may appear partially obscured.
Music
- Using Siri to control iTunes Radio does not work in this beta.
- Home Sharing and Genius Mixes are not currently available.
- There may be stability issues when using Up Next or iTunes Radio.
- iTunes Radio stations may not start playback when attempting to play from Recently Played.
- It’s not possible to start a station from a song in Now Playing.
- Station sharing for iTunes Radio is not available.
- The iTunes Radio tab may unexpectedly appear within Search, even if iTunes Radio is not available in your country.
- It’s not possible to add an entire album or artist to a playlist at once.
- The Music app may unexpectedly quit when deleting a playlist or rotating the device to landscape orientation.
- The Music app may forget its place when you go to the Home screen and come back.
- It’s not possible to view song lyrics.
- If your device loses and regains a network connection (including turning Airplane Mode on and off), playback may stop working. If songs repeatedly fail to play, please force the Music app to quit.
- Music Playback issue where songs would quit playing if anything other than the Music app was opened STILL persists.
Videos
- Library may appear blank when connecting via Home Sharing.
- iTunes Extras do not always play properly.
Other
- Creating an animated image using the UIImage method animatedImageWithImages:duration: and then playing the animation using startAnimating ignores the duration and plays back as fast as possible.
Workaround: Use startAnimatingWithImagesInRange:duration:repeatCount: instead.
- The appearance of default notifications on a Watch differs slightly from the appearance of default notifications in the Simuator.
