Am I the only person who thinks that the status bar in the Now Playing screen really distracts from the album artwork?

No you are not. I pointed it out earlier in the thread. To me it's a blatant lack of taste that one would not expect from Apple.

Current Now Playing screen is perfect. I'd wish that they put all the coding time into fixing the nasty stuttering that scrolling has instead of devoting time to break things that already work. May be that it's the story of post iOS 6 Music app: unfixing what was fixed and fixing what it's not broken.

I wonder who has the last word on the Music app. Either he/she is not very demanding or he/she just does not use the app on a daily basis (as stubbornly refusing to collapse albums on the Artist view attests)

I thought the Music app was pretty bland. I like the new design although it could use an improvement. I think most of us here are just pretty picky... which is why we comment on design.

I'm not entirely certain it's 8.4 beta 2 causing this, but I've noticed that text messages are not triggered on my Apple Watch anymore. A reboot of the iPhone fixes this temporarily, but at some point it stops sending text notifications to the Apple Watch again. Kinda annoying. Hope beta 3 fixes this

random question for 6 plus users:

is there still a sliver of screen at the bottom of the lock screen that goes unblurred when you are playing music?

sudden exceptional battery on iphone 6 with b2

replicated, even better the second time & this is playing with the phone too, constantly checking battery usage etc. this is the biggest increase i seen i think since forever

I cannot download any of my purchased music nor transfer music from my computer. I press the cloud button and it says downloading then just turns into the cloud again and no music appears in my library.

I also hooked up to my computer and hit sync music and it shows in iTunes that it was syncing but no music exists on my iPhone after this is done.

In other words, I cannot use the music app.

I've never noticed that and I don't see it now.

Battery life is noticeably worse with this beta even more so when paired with the Apple Watch!

I've complained and my bug was closed as a duplicate. Someone at Apple has only one album for each artist. This person probably believes in scrolling through all the artist songs until you finally reach the album you were looking for.

On top of the Music App being a mess with the Radio issues, and connectivity to my car, I experienced the missing music as well.

This is definitely the most "Beta" of Betas I have used in some time. Pretty surprised, and disappointed, for the first time in a great while. I see more regress than progress so far throughout 8.4 Beta 2.
The being unable to play music in the background to bluetooth devices has me miffed.

But most beta of betas? Exaggerate much? This beta's entire purpose is brand new totally revamped Music app... and it has rough edges. Biiiig surprise

Not exaggerating at all and no need to roll your eyes. I've used, tinkered, and developed on iOS from day 1 so I am more than qualified to speak on this. There are a plethora of other issues that make this the worst I can remember. If you think it's sole purpose was to introduce a new music app it's you whom is severely misinformed. Go roll your eyes at someone else bud.

Has anyone else found that you can add music to "Up Next" via Siri?
