iOS 8.4 Beta 2: Changes and Bug Fixes

Hey Siri, and any sort of Siri features are not working for me either ever since I updated to 8.4 beta 1.

LTE or Wifi, Siri just cant pull any information from the internet.

Siri has been working fine for me, although it did have a hiccup a week or so ago. Mine wouldn't do anything. The Siri screen would pull up but the mic wouldn't activate ever and it wouldn't say 'What can I help you with?' on screen. Just a simple reboot fixed it.

Damn, all those dots (...) Definitely not pretty!

Doesn't really bother me. They are actually quite useful! However, if the 6s gets Force Touch, they might just go away and Force Touching will bring it the menu. That would be neat!

Here is another bug, all my songs now are listed as songs and at the same time as videos, though it does not affect the storage. I only have one videos.Image

Mine is doing that too. My numbers aren't exactly the same like yours but it does say I have 2,101 videos which is definitely not right. I think the song total is correct and the video total is songs + videos.

Ugh. So I went back to 8.3 and all of my music was jacked up. Going into a playlist or trying to play a song crashes the music app. Reset and restoring now

Going to pass until beta 3 or 4. Seems like a great release, but not for a primary device (which is obvious with any beta).

Seems all my music was deleted during the update

Settings > Music > Show All Music To On... Only way you'll get it all to work at the moment

I thought this would be little help to me because most of my music is from CD's that I imported through iTunes. To my surprise it brought all those songs back. After checking my usage settings it seems my music isn't "Gone" exactly. Its just not HERE. Lol. Oh well. Now I'll just make a playlist so I don't have to hear all my family's ****** songs when I try and play some tunes

I updated the OP with Apple's list of known issues. The two at the bottom were there before I started but I didn't see them on Apple's list. Is that something that we are keeping in known issues?

On top of the Music App being a mess with the Radio issues, and connectivity to my car, I experienced the missing music as well.

This is definitely the most "Beta" of Betas I have used in some time. Pretty surprised, and disappointed, for the first time in a great while. I see more regress than progress so far throughout 8.4 Beta 2.

My GPS is off by about 30-40ft. I was driving yesterday in SLC and Maps thought I was on the other side of the road for a good 3-4 miles. Never experienced that on any betas before, was very troubling, especially going to a new place. Even this morning at work it thinks I'm pretty far away from where I am, even showing the large blue vicinity circle. Been very accurate before 8.4 B2.

Anyone else having this problem where you are unable to play certain songs you purchased and it gives the error message "Your Subscription to iTunes Match has expired?" That really shouldn't matter since I PURCHASED these songs... Apple TV has been doing it too and its really annoying. If I go to my purchased section, I can download them and they play fine, but if I try to stream them, it throws up the error message.

Do we yet have an easy way to restore back to 8.3 and not lose stuff ? Not sure I have 8.3 backup.
When phone is in airplane mode, no music is shown but it is still on device . So when I'm flying, I have to turn off airplane mode, no service, but all my music is visible for me to listen to

Going back to my problem, I actually fixed the problem. If you go to delete the song it will hide it from your purchases and then go into itunes on your computer and unhide the purchase and it streams fine. So that tells me that it is defiently a bug of some kind.

Anyone else having WiFi dropping out randomly on this beta? I thought it was hardware problem until I realized it was happening on my iPad as well.

Not that I've found. When I restored went back to 8.3 I couldn't get iTunes to delete music from my phone. It should in iTunes there were no songs but the correct amount of space was shown taken up. The new music app version in beta 2 really hoses something up

Here's one that is irking me.

iPhone 6 on 8.4 beta 2 - iCloud photos says that it has 41 images to upload and is not syncing with iCloud. Even on wifi and plugged in overnight.

iPad Mini2 on 8.4 beta 2 - iCloud photo syncing is working perfectly.

Mac OS 10.10.4 beta 2 also syncing correctly with iPad, but not phone.

I have not tried turing off iCloud photos all together on the phone yet, as there are over 11,000 in the library and don't want to have to resend the whole thing.

Any suggestions?

Ive authorized and de-authorized my computer a couple of times now,
reset my iPhone, tried the cable sync as well as wireless sync.

Is anyone using a Sandisk Connect 64gb Wireless Media Device on 8.4 beta?

I know it won't play iTunes DRM movies per reviews on Apple Store on iOS 8.3.

It puts them to Safari and Safari won't decode the DRM.

Too bad as i have 119.00 gift card and wanted this and maybe "now" another Ext Lacie

That doubled song issue I was having has gotten worse. Now some of the songs that were doubled up now come up with 'iTunes Match Required'. The songs I am trying to play are purchased from iTunes and I never had iTunes Match. Anyone else experiencing this?

This is on my 6 Plus btw, my Air 2 is working just fine. I have half a mind to restore my iPhone with the B2 IPSW but I don't know what that will do to my Watch.

Edit: Restored my iPhone and it is back to normal. Weird.

It does still stutters & lags quite a bit on my 6 Plus!

The graphical glitches from Beta 1 are still ever present in Beta 2. There are major issues in rendering due to which elements sometimes render incorrectly/out of space!

I haven't been getting many issues here on my 6 Plus. I do get the occasional stutter but that's all.
