I guess everything old is new again. Flat, retro operating systems. Streaming music with a dj. To me that sounds like listening to a radio station and there are plenty of apps with radio stations. If i have to hear a dj yammering on I prefer it to be a more localized station. I prefer no dj though. More power to anyone that likes dj's though.
The sad part is Apple fanboys think this is true.

I don't quite fully understand this, somebody please clarify. I am not interested in streaming. I like to download all my music and keep it, and backup the files, put them on my devices, etc. So for $9.99 a month, they are saying you have access to download and save every song in Apple's music catalog, as well as stream? I've spent several thousand dollars on music from the iTunes store, so if this $9.99/month service allows you to download and save unlimited tunes, it is a very sweet deal indeed! Can somebody be clear on this? Thanks...
What's old about 'flat'? Was Apple's Aqua design language flat? I don't think so.

I'm not sure you know what flat design is. There are tons of bevels and ridges there.![]()
System 7.
Don't see that anybody answered you so here you go. No Apple Music is not an option for you I think because you don't own the music you save to your device there is still a DRM on that piece of music unlike songs form the iTunes store where songs are DRM - Free. Unless you don't care about owning your music.I don't quite fully understand this, somebody please clarify. I am not interested in streaming. That's how several paid streaming services work, but the music is deleted if you stop using the service.I don't quite fully understand this, somebody please clarify. I am not interested in streaming. It's not what you think. The "downloading" is basically saving your playlists for offline use. You're not actually downloading songs to your computer. If that were the case then anyone would sign up for one month, download all the albums they can think of and cancel the service before the next billing date.I don't quite fully understand this, somebody please clarify. Implied depth created with completely flat plains is (though I hate the term) ‘flat design’. Consider the current iOS keyboard as a perfect example of this.I'm not sure you know what flat design is. There are tons of bevels and ridges there.
Agreed! In fact knowing this forum people will be throwing a hissy fit saying "Apple is late getting Beats 1 and Music launched and I've already updated my iDevice to iOS9!!" Followed by angry faces.Weird that people think it's stupid for the station to start so soon. I think it's actually a good move. Apple wants the station to already be playing when people start it. To keep the illusion of radio. People don't want to wait to hear the radio, it sends a bad message. And if you miss the launch so what? It's not like it matters. It's just a radio station.

This is the most accurate. Often design is neither a definitive one or the other, but on a scale. They're hybrids.
The real sad part is even after ~5 years Spotify is only as popular as it is because it's had no real competition. The sad part is Apple fanboys think this is true.
Assuming 8.4 will be compatible with iTunes 11.4. Right?
