The ability to delete individual albums and songs through Settings (instead of just the entire music library) seems new too.

Badge Icon Removal

Has anyone noticed if this "bug" is fixed?

Scenario:

I get a tweet. I dismiss it in notification center or now from the lock screen. Does the badge icon still remain? I think it's crazy to have to dismiss from one place only to have to go into the app to actually clear that notification again from the badge icon. Someone please say this behavior has changed in iOS 8. I know I can remove badge icons but IMO they should be tied to one another. Notification icons or even just 1 icon to let you know that you had new notifications in the status bar would fix this.

Edit: I think this issue is fixed with the new mark as read feature within each notification! I saw it in the messages app but not gmail so hopefully devs will update their apps to use this feature. So disregard unless someone has any other comments about this.

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. I hate how if I get a notification and I clear it from Notification Center, MOST of the time the badge remains the the only way to get rid of it is to go into the app, which wastes time. If this is fixed in iOS 8, then it's great news!

It's. It a bug. It's by design. But you now have the option to mark as read for messages and this can be expanded to other apps if deva choose to do so.

Can somebody check this for me? It didn't seem like starting a whole new thread over.

In iOS 7 (all versions) there is a bug with the clock when the region is set to United Kingdom and the clock is set to 12 hour. AM and PM appear in lowercase and this seemingly confuses apps which refer to the clock e.g. in vine comments show as (null) minutes ago and when a timer is set it shows as 0:00 on the lock screen instead of showing the time remaining. Is this fixed in iOS 8? I've reported it to apple via the feedback forum but if a dev could also report it that would be awesome, I think the reason it's been overlooked so far is that most people use the 24hr clock here, although I prefer the 12 hour clock!

Apologies if this has been posted before (tried to search), but have they "fixed" the wallpaper when using your own picture to allow you to zoom to exactly what you want to see in the background instead of the forced zoom (even with perspective zoom off) in 7.X?

Thanks!

My iPad has the B3 update requested so it should download and install soon and then it's time to hunt for all the iPad specials :D

EDIT - Things I've found in B3:

First time setup now gives the option to "Upgrade to iCloud Drive" or "Keep Using iCloud Documents & Data" and a new page in setup dedicated to explaining iCloud Drive

New App Analytics screen in the first-time setup screen to share App crash information with developers.

Option to Enable or Disable Handoff.

New "Home Data" option in Privacy (may have already been there but I don't remember it). It has no icon.

Option in messages to change the Message History and to Automatically Keep Audio and Video messages.

Addresses with contact information provide a pop-up on the email at the top to create a contact or to ignore the sender.

New icon/animation for clearing notifications.

B3 on iPad now has the "Request Desktop Site" button, accessed by pulling down the favourites icon's when the address is selected!

iOS 8, All The Little Things! [Features Discovered in iOS 8]

Requesting desktop site was already there since beta 1!

Beta 3 also put handoff switch on iPad 3, and now calls are all relayed through the iPhone!

I tested it on my MacBook and iPad, and they are both capable of making or receiving calls. Mac needs yosemite beta 3 too!

Bluetooth is not needed! Everything is done through wifi!
