No. When you click the camera icon to send someone a picture, it used to give you a filmstrip and you could quick select a picture. I'm back to getting the choices of Photo Library, Take Photo or Video, and Cancel.

Clicking details only gives you the option of sending your location, or calling the contact you are texting.

Clicking the camera icon still gives me that film strip with all of my photos, so not sure why it's gone on yours.

Also, clicking Details gives me the options you mention, along with turning on Do Not Disturb for that thread, and scrolling further shows the Attachments made in the thread (pictures sent, etc.)

This is what I get

I figured it out. For some reason, when going to beta 3, all of my images got tagged (I'm guessing here) as iCloud photos. Whenever I try to edit a photo that pre-existed, I have to duplicate it to edit it. I think the same thing is happening with this. I think the phone looks at my existing photos as cloud photos and, for whatever reason, will not show thumbnails of those photos. It only shows images that are actually in the camera roll. I took several quick shots and it worked again.

WPA2 should be fine at home.Use a long key and disable WPS. There is no publicly known security issue with WPA2 other than the WPS hole.

I don't have a dev account (yet), so no. Not having one last year either, I loaded iOS 7 beta on my phone, just to get a quick look at it. I'm going to be patient this time. :)

Thank you again. I am using WPA2 and MAC filtering but WPS was enabled.

Comparing Remote app UI with the stock Music app UI, it is a KO.

I was really hoping the music app in iOS 8 would be revamped with the Remote app UI. I was really bummed to find out that Apple made almost zero changes to a music app that has been loathed by many (even a majority of the people who like iOS 7 find the music app to be terrible). Hopefully iOS 9 will bring an improved stock music app that's either as good or maybe even better than the one found in iOS 6.

Apple did acquire Beats so hopefully we will be seeing the results of said acquisition in due time.

There was some so called "discovery" which I think was debunked about a WPA2 vulnerability having to do with enabling QoS (Quality of Service). You could always look into that to be extra safe.

Can someone explain how the new "instant hotspot" feature is different from the existing one.. For instance.. With ios 7, I have an iphone, I have personal hotspot on.. If my Mac is close by, it automatically recognizes my phone and connects to it when I click on my network... How is it different in ios 8?

Personal hotspot doesn't need to be on, it simply appears in Yosemite if your iPhone is close by, and will only turn it on if you decide to connect to your phone. Basically, you don't need to take it out of your pocket and manually turn on personal hotspot.

Can someone tell me whether photos with aspect ratio 3:2 (the one for SLR cameras) are still taking the whole screen (no black bars), so I have to zoom out to see the picture in it's original aspect ratio?

Any improvements of the Photos app at all?

Thank you.

Sure this was mentioned but the when you minimize the auto-suggest word bar on the keyboard, there's a white grabby element on it now so it has more of a "this does something" look.

Oh then that's cool.. But Bluetooth will have to be on always then.. Which drains battery even though it's a low battery bluetooth

The drain from BT low energy is so insignificant that it's not even worth mentioning.

i never turn bluetooth or wifi off and still get a full day with my iphone5. (usually 30%-40% of battery left when i go to bed)

iOS seems to manage this alot better than android. always had to turn everything off on my previous motorola phone, or there was no way to get through the day. and even then i was struggling.

I used to turn Bluetooth off as i never used it but since getting a new car which allows me to use the phone over bluetooth its always on and i've seen very little difference in the time the battery lasts.

Reminders

I may be completely wrong but, I don't recall this being in iOS 7 as a standard feature. (I.E. I did not add this Reminder list on my own... ever)

Does anyone else have issues with having to press the sleep button like 5 times just to sleep their iPhone 5 on beta 3? It's driving me nuts

Guys, I have a question! Someone posted that the photos taken on iOS 8 are now a little heavier in size, does that mean the camera now saves the photo on full resolution just like Camera+ does? Or can anyona explain what's the difference? Thanks in advance!
