TeeVee (TV Show tracker) updated to support widgets, so now you can see dates when your shows are airing.

with iOS8 now, there is a location icon next to my batter icon.
wasn't there before.

is there a quick way to know which app is making this icon appear?
i don't really want to go through the apps one by one...

thanks.

Go to Settings > Privacy > Location and look for purple arrow, it shows which app is currently using your location.

Very nice. Didn't even think about wanting something like that until I realized it was available.

In what way?

Instead of bringing us a native experience, it feels like they're trying to shoehorn an Android widget in. The images are fuzzy too, can you imagine how that would look on the iPad and iPhone 6+?

It would honestly work better without the Flickr images altogether. The Today screen is for information you can look at with minimal function. If we wanted to look at a beautiful picture of a sunset, we'd just open the app itself.

Do it properly, or someone else will.

the weather channel app for iPhone has been upgraded to version 6.3 and includes widgets! :D

well its sad to say that we wont get quick reply from third party apps :( i am pissed too, the API is not open :( a friend told me that

Fitbit updated but no mention of iOS 8 updates or integration with HealthKit. Still doesn't show up as a source in HK. I guess it is delayed a bit.

So far I only see one with a link to some video update and not any actual weather information or anything like that.

the screenshots show that there should be weather information listed and tap here for more listed right below the forecast.

well looks like all my apps for my iPhone are now iOS 8 compatible and that only took 2 days after iOS 8 being released.. not too bad.

I believe you need to have location services turned on and any settings within the app for local weather turned on in order for the widget to pick it up. I was getting just the play video on the widget and I turned on location services in the app and in settings and then the local weather appeared. I tried another weather app with widgets and it required the same thing. For me, I will sacrifice not having weather on my today screen in order to preserve battery. It is eating it up fast, I don't want to add to that by keeping location services on all the time.

At one point I thought that might be it. I don't see why it can't show the weather for your home location or first saved location basically as it can within the app without location services enabled. Same goes for the built-in Apple Weather app which also won't display in the Notification Center unless location services are enabled for it even though it could simply display the first saved location there too.

Last I heard the HealthKit stuff was still broken from the Apple side, so I wouldn't take it as Fitbit's fault. I don't think ANYONE has working HealthKit support right now.
