iOS 8 beta 1 bug thread

Didn't find it in the search. I just was on a call via speakerphone and on mute. Then pressed the lock button to lock the screen but it ended the call.
 
I have received one notice of a bug report being closes as it was a duplicate of a previously submitted bug.
 
handoff

i can't seem to get iMac to work with iPhone - i checked allow handoff, but when i start an email, text or receive a call on iPhone nothing shows up on iMac.....am i doing something wrong?

That's normal!? It was maybe since the first iOS.

I think it isn't activated by Apple in beta 1

No sir, just tried again and it worked like in ios7 and before. When speakerphone is activated the lock button is not supposed to end the call. It only ends the call via lock button when not on speakerphone.
 
My App Store won't load completely. It just loads and takes for ever to complete.
Also, I'm not getting spotlight give me suggestions. Just the normal spotlight.

Yep. I had this issue. I guess it's a big in iOS 8

Videos in the Facebook App are working since the update to version 11.0.

On iOS 8 Beta 1 they didn't pla before saying "you are not connected to the Internet"


EDIT: now videos in the Facebook app again don't work

Just a minor annoyance: the mic icon on the message app is annoyingly pixelated on my iPad mini first gen. I figured if they can make the camera icon look decent, why can't they do the same for the mic. Hoping beta 2 and succeeding betas will update the icon.
 
Anyone know if there's a way to get a list of bugs you've opened? I've probably filed 20 bugs and it would be nice to be able to get a list of these so I could check to see if they are resolved in Beta 2 when it comes out.

Maybe someplace on the dev site?

That's a bug with Facebook, something Facebook will need to update.

Remember, 3rd party apps have not yet been updated for iOS 8. There will be bugs until then.
 
I've been using betas since iOS 4, and on the iPhone 5s, this is the least buggy beta I've used. Settings is a mess still and crashes all the time, but almost everything else has been solid in general. There are minor bugs to be certain, but nothing I can't easily deal with. I wasn't planning on switching to iOS 8 this time, but my 7.1.1 install has been having major battery issues and I thought, why not see if the per app battery usage in 8 doesn't help me find out if a specific app may be giving me issues. I know 7 and 8 are different, but it'd be a better starting point than going through all my apps one by one in 7. But so far, in iOS 8, my battery life is outstanding. Without a doubt, the best battery life I've had on a beta and worlds better than I was getting on 7.1.1. I'm liking the new messages so much I'll probably just stick with this.
 
contacts

Seems the contacts app is not working right. Opens the 1st contact everytime, try to edit a pic and cannot back out/cancel. It makes you go to contacts group, edit the groups to display before you can get back to your list. Anyone else? 4s here.

I am on beta 2, and the contacts app does go straight into the first contact, but no problems editing. I would recommend you update to beta 2 and use the beta 2 thread.

Ah man, Thanks I thought I was in B2 thread sorry. Yes this issue is with B2 not B1.
