bah gotta go to work hahahaha thummmmmmmmbs DOWN. no wi fi there oh well. I'm sure this thread will lmk if its out tho....its been fun g-units.

Actually, last year, beta 2 was released at 12:59PM EST.

Which would have been 1 hour and 17 minutes ago.

That is actually incorrect.

Furthermore, over the course of about 14 betas between iOS 6 & iOS 7....several of them were released at times other than 1:00 PM EST.

With the level of interaction between iOS and OS X on this release, I think all bets are off for beta release schedules.

If they want to make sure the Continuity/Handoff stuff works in b2 for both, I can see them waiting until it's ready on both.

I think tomorrow is likely. I also would not be surprised to see it next week, either.

So more or less people/organizations that post when they notice themselves, nothing really as far as knowing really ahead of time or earlier that most.

@FirmwareReleases are amazing, as soon as (and I mean as soon as!) a beta is released, they tell us!
The correct twitter handle is @iosreleases

I spent a few mins trying to find it.

Just trying to save others time.
I do know of @iOSReleases, but I think that's generally for public availability updates/releases, don't think beta ones get listed there.

Usually from sites that I shouldn't post about on here :)
Why not?

Won't be able to say that next year.
Can't even say that this year, or even last year.

A lot of these "patterns" are barely patters, and truly even if they are "patterns" they still mean pretty much nothing as far as what can happen in the future.

Oh yeah, strange. My bad, maybe they aren't that good after all.

They done it with iOS 7, I just looked.
It seems like they did it with (some?) iOS 7.1 betas, but that's really it, nothing before or since for betas.

you guys must be using a different phone than me. My 5C (A1532) is nearly unusable on 8b1. Half the calls I receive, I can't pick up the call. The other half, I can't hang up! So yeah, I'm refreshing about once an hour on the software update screen.

You may ask "why not just go back to 7.1.1?". The reason is Hey Siri. That is the single reason why I was about to buy a Moto X. I travel for business 75% of my life and having hands free is priceless. Hey Siri is my "killer app" for iphone.

Um maybe try "k Google" in the google app?? Not sure what you need hands free thats more important than being able to take or make a phone call especially if traveling and away from the office but to each his/her own. Also BT headset works wonders with SIRI until iOS8 is a tad more stable. Maybe B2 will drop in a day or so and actually work so you will be set and can talk to both Siri and other people via Phone app :)

I don't know about the previously mentioned, but @iOSOTA does announce betas (both iOS and OS X).
Interesting. Although can't say I see much about iOS really, and it seems a bit busy with a lot of dev site status messages.
