Issues Fixed

AirDrop
- Improved AirDrop between OSX and iOS
- Fixed a problem where AirDrops would be declined unexpectedly

Much Much More
And all that is what, "official" information? ;)

My plan today:

1st Update (not restore) from 7.1.1 to ios 8 beta 1
2nd Over the air update to beta 2.

I too like to live dangerously. :)

Hopefully we get it today...come on 1PM.

----------

I'm going to guess that Apple will drop Beta 2 on Wednesday to try to draw some attention away from Amazon's big smartphone unveiling.

Lol. Really? I don't think a buggy Beta 2 (that's not even meant for the general public) would draw attention from Amazon revealing their first smart phone.

Apple is getting very inconsistent with their wording. In some sections it's: "Fixed a problem", other sections it's: "Fixed an Issue" and then in another its "Fixed Issue"

The mind boggles at the length some people go to for attention.

I honestly hope they release beta 2 today. Beta 1 has been too unstable, I never regretted installing a iOS beta as much as I did this time. I wish I could afford a separate device for development.

I too would appreciate the next beta before too long. There are plenty of awesome things about iOS 8 beta 1, but a lot of bugs too (as everyone would expect). I'd downgrade but for the fact I can't restore iCloud backups from iOS 8.

I think too many people are holding on for it coming out tonight - I'm personally not so sure. As many have already said, Apple are really focusing on teaming OS X and iOS together and that leads me to believe new beta versions will go out together. I'm thinking it's looking more likely the end of this week - if not early next week to be honest. If it goes out tonight, awesome, but I'm not convinced.

I'll be happy once the stupid settings bug is fixed (crashes when you open Settings). I'd also like to see the continuity features working a little better - particularly phone calls. As yet I haven't been able to make or receive a phone call successfully on the Mac (it'll ring but audio never seems to be transmitted). That will be awesome when it is working. SMS messages work fine.

We'll wait and see what happens. If it comes out anytime it's likely to be 1pm EST (in my case 6pm BST) but, as I said, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see another beta until the end of the week.
