They lost me with the widgets in the notification window... seriously, no widgets on the Homepage?????????????????????? Wow, I thought they had smart people working there or something.

Notification screen makes more sense since it can be pushed away when not needed. Going to the homepage takes you from your app.

lol, nothing new.. aha

Rather have improved home integration; monitoring temps, locks, security camera's, lighting, etc. Already have a Nest, Kēvo deadbolts (needs remote locking/unlocking), Philips Hue systems, wireless security camera's. No need to "rent" overpriced "Time Warner" home systems. An all-in-one app like "HomeKit" that can link it all together would facilitate the process, especially for those who aren't as tech savvy.

Handoff/Continuity is great, can't see much use personally but in the Enterprise sect, absolutely. Love making/receiving phone calls via my nMac Pro w/ a Bluetooth headset, has improved my workflow tremendously. It's great not missing calls while collaborating on projects over the phone.

Address video conferencing, bring back "Answering Machine" from "iChat" during the Leopard beta development so my Mac can leave a video/audio away message and record one in return.

The new iChat answering preference tab allows users to record a Video greeting to serve as an answering message when users are away from their desk. The caller may then leave a message. At this time, there only appears to be partial functionality implemented.

This would be perfect for the deaf and a great time to integrate it into 10.10's feature sets. Perfection.

Damn. Beta 2 is the buggiest ios beta I've ever tested. No 4G, and twice now my phone has completely frozen on me with the only way to fix it being to wait 4 hours for the battery to run out before charging again!!

Press and hold power and home buttons together until screen switch off. Then press the power button.

Not happy about this. Beta 2 seemed much more stable to me at first, but now I can hardly develop with it at all. Crash after crash. It's useless to me as a dev.

it's useless to me as a normal dude. I have no LTE and iMessage keeps crashing. Certain apps that I use normally don't work. t's a disaster. Another two weeks to wait is crazy. :((

I agree also. I had to hard reset (holing Home and power button until it reboots) many times now.
It freezes for short periods also all the time.

I'm a starving developer so my developer phone is my daily driver. Am I allowed under your rules?

LMAO Same here!

Agree with you here, Beta 2 is by far the buggiest beta I have used. It's 10x worse than beta 1. Seems like they are making reverse progress and actually created more bugs to counter the one or two I noticed they fixed. Hopefully we will get something next week to keep up with the somewhat normal schedule.

Amusingly, iOS 8 beta 2 has been more stable for me than iOS 7 ever was...

Why? DP2 is pretty solid.

All depends on the device, and sometimes even that doesn't cut it given how random issues can be. But right now I've got a iPhone 5s running it and it's been mostly smooth sailing through DP1 and DP2, but DP2 has been absolutely brutal on an iPhone 5. You can't really generalize about the stability or lack thereof of beta releases.

Could this mean they are finally gearing up for the public beta of Yosemite as well? I am assuming both iOS 8 Beta 3 and OSX 10.10 Beta 3 will be released the same time.

Public Beta of Yosemite .. not yet .. still too buggy.

You've got Yosemite running on an iPhone? That's a first :)

Again. We are talking about Yosemite.

Says you with 22 question marks in a comment.

It was a design choice to keep the home pages uncluttered.

Tired of Beta 2

Sucks really; my dev license will expire several days after; I don't know if I want to renew it... This second build has been so AWFUL! Freezes ALL the time, my phone will vibrate because it's ringing but the call won't show until about the time people hang up. Multiple major issues....build one was good; the hell did they do?
