I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2 and no issues with my aftermarket head unit. Even when I installed 8.0 there were no issues. Also, I have a VIZIO Sound bar and no issues connection bluetooth either. :)

doesn't work at all for me

Still doesn't work with my 1999 Toyota Tercel.

I had a 5s, it was 8.0 and never upgraded due to the mess. Just got a iphone 6 which is also on v 8.0. Both phones work with the belkin BT adapter im using. Id say the 5s got a bit sluggish when connected to the belkin when it was upgraded to v8.0, but the iphone 6 connected first time this morning, and its response controlling the BT is zippy.

On my Honda CR-V (2013) I did not have problem with Bluetooth. All I did is
disconnected previous iPhone 5 device and connected to the new iPhone 6.
took 1 min.

iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2.: 2014 BMW 435i- having the same problems as reported. I have a Bose radio at my office, pairs fine. I'll try the reset recommendations.

I figured this would be a problem.

<-- Still on 7, waiting for 8.1 (or inventory to show up to do trade in lol)

My system connects via Lightning instead of Bluetooth, but I've also had trouble. Since I got my iPhone 6, whenever I connect the phone, I have to wait about ten seconds. I'll get a message that says "This device is incompatible with this iPhone." I then disconnect and reconnect it and it works after that. It's very bizarre.

I've had things like that happen. I think old crud collects and you're better off restarting. If it gets bad, recycle the radio, the Bluetooth, the pairing -- by deleting the "device" and making a new connection.

The only issue in my Acura TSX 2014 is that the phone column is not being controlled by the car so. If the phone's volume is low…turning up the car volume does not make the car louder.

+IOS7 did not behave this way.

So far no issues with my new Mazda CX-5's BT so at the moment I am not worried, but its my work iphone so I wonder if the iPhone 6+ will be different or the same.

Apple's online support has not been able to help me with this problem. In my iPad under Bluetooth I see two iPhone 6s. In my iPhone under Bluetooth I see two iPad airs. In each case I can only forget one device, the one that works.

I have the same issue on my iphone. I dont have BT turned on my ipad, so curious.

I have been wrestling with this for a couple of days. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2 and a 2011 VW.

Resetting all Settings did not work (tried twice). Erasing the phone in the car and erasing the bluetooth connection on the phone did not work (tried twice).

What finally worked was down-grading back to iOS8.0. It is very easy to do.

I recommend this as a solution until Apple figures it out.

ANOTHER issue?!??!

Apple better get their act together! From 50k feet view, it appears problem after problem! Hardware and software.

No business is perfect but could these be found via testing? Looks like Apple is following the tried and true: user testing via version 1.0!

I had numerous BT problems with iPhone 5 running 8.0 and my 2010 Mustang Sync. Then my iPhone 6+ arrived and no problems since. I did have wifi daemon crashing problems which required reboot. No problems with 8.0.2 or 8.1

Well this is interesting. I have had problems with an iPhone 6+. It has playback glitches (stopping. playing something other than what I chose to play) The strangest one was pairing with my car but continuing to play through the phone. I didn't know what to attribute it to.

More like iOS8 vs Windows ME.

Is strike 4 or 5? I forget.

You know it's bad when you are compared to windows ME.

I wonder when Cook will make another formal apology. He may as well have them pre written as this seems to be the way it's going.

Sadly Apple are held to a higher standard than the likes of Microsoft so when they fail, it really hurts.

I wonder would Apple push out an iOS 8.0.3 update specifically to deal with the Bluetooth connectivity issue? The problem is that we may not see iOS 8.1 until late October 2014.

8.1 fixes the BT issue. Obviously I can't speak for every device out there, but the issue is a fixed item in 8.1
