Driving me crazy
I drive a 2012 Mazda 3 MPS (Mazda Speed 3) in some markets and the iPhone 6 connects via bluetooth to the car no worries for playing music and thats it. I set the phone up as a new iPhone when I first got it rather than setting it up from a previous iPhone. I've tried un-pairing the phone, re pairing the phone, turning off iCloud, turning off and then on bluetooth, switching to airplane mode, then back to normal, I've tried reset network settings, reset all settings, hard boot of the phone and pretty much everything else. I've called Apple 4 times and been to the Apple Store. At first I was told there was nothing wrong with the phone and that Mazda need to do an upgrade to the bluetooth firmware in the car. I called my Mazda mechanic as well as Mazda Australia customer service and they advised that information was incorrect and that they had a large number of customers who have purchased iPhone 6's and 6+'s and they are all facing the same issue.
I have raised a job with Apple and so far nothing. I appreciate it takes time to find solutions to problems like these, but as an Apple fan, I have to admit I am very disappointed with Apple for releasing a product that is not working correctly. I am now at the point where I think my new iPhone 6 may need to be returned and replaced with a Samsung. I hope they fix this soon. Nothing like owning a nice new shiny $1000 iPod for the car. 😡
