This in addition to the preexisting unreliability of Bluetooth?! It already hardly worked right.
Scott deserved to be fired since Apple Map was ***** disaster and users got no alternative. iOS 8.x.x so far didn't cause any issue except 8.0.1 for some, not everyone, but only 40,000 downloads and Apple corrected within a few days. iOS 8.0.2 again may create some issue for few. The point is, you cannot test the software compatibility on every piece of accessory out there. That's why you need the vendor to update the firmware to work with new iOS version.

Let me guess: iPhone 4S?...lol.
"From the iPhone 5 owner with iOS 8.0.0 and iOS 8.0.2 working like charm"
In fairness you bought an Alfa Romeo... you are lucky anything works at all.
my giulietta is affected.... damn apple!!!!!!
Hmm,...my 2013 Mustang with the basic Ford Sync has shown no problems so far...
No problems with my Honda Civic.
I'm already afraid of OSX Yosemite release.
Maybe our Macs will explode ???
It's working fine in my Bugatti, but it's a little spotty in my Koenigsegg.
I was having these issues with 8.0.x.
I filed a bug report with Apple - they didn't respond, but it's now fixed in the iOS 8.1 beta.

You're right, except for things like losing cell service after an update should be caught. That's not exactly a corner case.
Also testing bluetooth on the top 5 car manufacturers shouldn't be too much of a stretch either. If you're talking THIS phone with THIS software running THIS app talking to THIS radio is an issue, yes, that would be hard to find. But not when it's a majority of radios are seeing some kind of issue.
