Counting myself lucky that I don't have these problems (2011 Prius)... but boy oh boy is this the most embarrassing and unacceptable product rollout from Apple ever...

This happened to me on iOS 7 last year.

With every major release, I have to "erase network settings" and then it repaired fine.

Honestly, i was about to say something in the same light. iOS 8 has been nothing but garbage.

Well I'm hoping that they do a post mortem on this and identify what they need to do going forward to avoid this type of stuff. I'm an Apple fan but my confidence has been shaken after the 8.0.1 update. 8.1 and beyond better be the best damn OS updates on earth.

Somewhere Forstall is laughing......

Apple only sells a limited amount of hardware compared to most companies. I have no idea how they're unable to test stuff like this before release. My iPhone 6 Plus has never been able to pair to any bluetooth device that I've tried, aside from my iPad showing up in the hotspot area complete with battery level, etc. I think that uses bluetooth, but I'm not certain. I don't use bluetooth very often, so I haven't complained much, but I could see how this would be really annoying for some people.

The fix for me was to unpaid all BT devices, the repair them. Once that was done, all devices worked fine again.

Nissan is good. Please fix the accelerometer/gyro for the phone screen not rotating properly.

I have issues where my phone pairs, I'll listen to pandora and have apple maps going, and it suddenly drops out. I have to reset Bluetooth. While driving this could be incredibly dangerous.

Hmmm weird. I haven't really seemed to have this issues, either with audio or phone calls. One thing I have noticed is that when I listen back to my voicemail it only uses the iPhone speaker and not bluetooth. I'm ok with this, because I used to have issues with playing the voicemail back anyway

Did apple even test iOS in the real world or they just did random computer generated runs lol
Worse iOS release.

You should probably use a few Windows machines and devices to experience the hell that comes with them before you start chastising Apple over something minute.

I'll take these minor issues over that ANY day. ;)

I do every day. I think you've been away from Windows too long. It works quite nicely.

Oh, and MINOR issues? Take off the rose tinted sunglasses, bub.

I might be in a minority here in that iOS 8 actually fixed a major bug, that started after updating to iOS 7, it affected my iPhone 5's BT music through my car.

Before iOS7, everything worked great, when I started my car the sound system connected to my iPhone 5 and could play music, make calls etc no problem. After iOS7, it stopped playing my music in the car if I had played a YouTube video last, or any in-browser video, before connecting to my car. When this happened, every time I had to go into the music app and manually start a song and then music would play again in the car.

Ever since updating to iOS8, I don't have this issue anymore. I've been testing it for the last week, played a YouTube video, put the phone in standby, got into the car and selected my iPhone and it played my music straight away.

something funny: got an i6 last night and paired it to both of our cars (nissan leaf and plug-in prius).

this morning had to follow my wife, who was driving the leaf. i was in the prius. my music kept stopping, and i finally realized that when i came to a stoplight and was right behind her, the phone switched away from the prius and onto the leaf!

calling her was an adventure since she could not answer the call; her card display was showing my outgoing call!

i couldn't believe this... totally crazy. but i'm not sure it's an ios8 thing. not sure i've ever been in this situation before.
