It'll be nice to be able shame the offenders. If you look at the big iPhone 6/6+ Review thread, there is still a ton of people complaining about iPhone battery life. Now the offending apps can take the blame they deserve.

Ahhh too bad Siri has to be plugged in for the hands free too. :( Come on Apple maybe just restrict it when it gets below 15% battery or something. :confused:

And then people will complain that their phone gets down to below 15% way too quickly.

Guess I've been spoiled having this for a year on my Nexus. ;). Usually its the screen using all the power in my phones case anyway.

Oh good Lord, then hold down the home button down for a second. Otherwise you'd be here beyatching about poor battery life.

Correct, and I'm on T-Mobile... The point is that I don't see it on my iPhone 5, and really wanted it, as my cell coverage at work is awful.

OK; so I thought I'd love the quick reply feature but.............
Unless I'm doing something wrong.. you can ONLY access it for like 2-3 seconds while the message is still scrolled across the top of your screen. After it goes into your normal pull down notifications..... you're burnt. Wtf???
That makes this "feature" more of an annoyance than anything.
Any workarounds??

Gotcha, ATT is HORRIBLE at our house. I was hoping they would step it up and allow this since almost every plan is unlimited minutes now... time will tell!
 
Hey I have never seen a video by this Bill Savage from MacRumors (are you new?) but hey if you are reading this...I really like your videos, straight and to the point and you have a nice voice, great job, you should do more videos. Thanks!!

First the notifications are there for about 7 seconds which is quite a bit longer than 2 or 3. Second, if it's just in your Notification Center when you pull it down then swipe on the notification and you should get the option to reply from there.

Umm... either you're not understanding me, or I'm not understanding you though-
It sounds to me like your "solution" to wanting to quick respond to texts from the lock screen instead of opening the messaging app is to simply open the messaging app & reply from there. Lol, yes.... you could reply to a message from the messages app since the first iPhone. I (and EVERYBODY else) am well aware of that.
I'm talking about this NEW feature that I can't seem to get to work correctly. So far, every text I get... if I catch it in the first five seconds or so, basically as it's coming in, I can use this cool new feature. If I check my phone & for example & see four texts I received in the last ten minutes, I can respond to NONE of them using the new system. I thought it would allow replies from the lock screen, but it only appears to allow quick replies from an interrupted banner alert. FAR less useful. Anybody know a workaround?

Do you have message previews enabled?

And yes I'm talking about the new quick reply ability, not about using the app (which isn't new of course). You can do it as I described from the Notification Center or the lock screen (with previews enabled).

ios is starting to look more and more like android. Which is a good thing. About time apple start adding more productive features and to what people actually wanted.

ios 8 and a 4.7 screen has sealed the deal for me going back to iphone.
 
I watched the video on my iOS 8 iPhone, and when the voice in the video said, “hey, Siri,” my phone paused the video and brought up Siri.
 
I was charging my phone while watching the vid and when the guy said hey Siri, Siri actually responded in my phone xD

If I had to guess, I'd say the people doing the complaining and the people doing the swearing are two different groups of people ;)

That said I've got maybe 150 MB free, on a jailbroken iPhone 5 running 6.1.2. Not even close to worth the trouble, lol.
