Can someone with the beta please elaborate on the new zoom options in accessibility? Maybe post a screenshot? Thanks!

You can already request desktop websites in chrome for iOS.

I thought everyone knew that.

Hopefully "request desktop site" can be made sticky. I never want to look at another onclick website again. Wasn't the point of mobile safari to render desktop sites perfectly so we didn't need wap browsers? The whole internet went backward in response.

Pleased iBooks is installed by default, love the B&W feature, new time lapse option also sounds good. However, I'm with Soy Cowboy...

duckduckgo FTW!
I'll be able to do away with the app on my front screen now!
Great addition Apple, goodbye google once and for all.

I really hope the "request desktop" button works. The only thing worse than a poorly designed mobile website is a poorly designed mobile website that doesn't offer a way to the real website. Atomic Web Browser used to be good about tricking sites, but it has apparently been abandoned by the developer, so now I'm stuck being screwed by bad web developers/designers.

Plenty of other browsers offer this feature.

Like it!!

Request Desktop Site
WONDERFUL. I hit CBC's page and their "mobile" version is awful.
Gray Scale
I see an opportunity for April Fools Jokes. "Yes mom, the internet is in black and white today."
WiFi Calling
Bloody well about time.
DuckDuckGo
Very Good

Yes !!!..

Finally, something is moving in the right direction, since developers can't do it, or (rather choose not to), Apple has now got the "Request Desktop version" in safari to force the desktop site, i image this is what it would do, and over-ride the mobile version..

I wonder how well this would work. because its not really up to the developer per say, but its the headers, Maybe Apple changes the user-agent. It's for iPhone on a smaller screen, but when you know the full site looks better on iPad, just due to user-agent it picks up mobile version instead... *looks ugly* on a bigger screen.

Can't wait for this. ) Although the name "Request" sounds like it would ask,,, umm.. I hope not.

Time-lapse :) - Don't you find their are all these third party apps available? just like flashlight, but now Apple gets "the message" and chooses to make it part of the OS.

Thus, -1 to those developers..

Still good to have... I can get rid of at least 4 apps already

DuckDuckGo - Not familiar this one... and just because its part of iOS doesn't change anything as in i'll trust it blindly..

I'll stick with Google.

iBooks - Now that shabby... separate vs now part of ,,,, its a small app anyway, but if i needed it I would add it... Convenient never-the-less.

Messages - Auto-delete after ..... Not bad but more options needed. I'd like after 24 hours, or imminently after you close Messages app.

I'm sick of manually deleting stuff.

Photos - nice kitty.

That's a rap.... :) Most of the garbage could of been missed, but if don't mention it, then no one will :)

It does work.

Isnt this audio face time?
Edit: Oh wait so it will go to wifi if your on wifi?

Audio FaceTime uses your Apple ID to make a call to another Apple ID.

This wifi calling is referring to using Wifi to make a phone call to a phone number using your actual cellular number. Instead of using cellular minutes (such as your daytime/anytime minutes), it simply uses wifi.

Sounds too good to be true, like there must be a catch, but the cellular companies win too because they are unloading some of the strain off of their network and onto your internet (wifi) provider.

Agreed. I'm sure it will work just fine. It probably just refreshes the page, while re-identifying itself as Safari on a Mac, or something like that. Then the site will just say "oh ok, you're on Safari Desktop, here's the desktop site".

Wi- fi calling would be a good feature, if i never used my Voip app on iOS all the time. :p

Sorry, Apple, your too late,

I would only save 10c...

Grey scale mode looks good too Looks like that like photo guy's Mark. :)

Now i'm just as cool as he it... I wonder weather if is just cosmtic, or weather you'd be able to take photos in black and white too ..

Yes !!!..

I'll stick with Google.

DuckDuckGo is specifically there as a partner because it does not collect your data and protects your privacy, something that Apple emphasized with many of its new features. This is a clear reference and a shot at Google. The "anti-google" if you will. We all know that Google builds a profile about you, collects data, and sells it to advertisers.

So your response is to just stick with Google! It gave me a bit of a chuckle is all. All in good fun. I don't know much about DuckDuckGo either, but it gave me a reason to read up on them a little bit more.

It is just difficult to get off of Google being the default, as I'm sure this is what you meant and you feel the same way. I would be more likely to switch to Bing first, but maybe I'll give this alternative a shot once in a while, for the next few months, and see what it's like.

What a huge boost and exposure for that company! Their CEO must be ecstatic!

Per Wikipedia:
DuckDuckGo is an Internet search engine that emphasizes protecting searchers' privacy and avoiding the "filter bubble" of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo distinguishes itself from other search engines by not profiling its users and by deliberately showing all users the same search results for a given search term. DuckDuckGo also emphasizes getting information from the best sources rather than the most sources, generating its search results from key crowdsourced sites such as Wikipedia and from partnerships with other search engines like Yandex, Yahoo!, Bing and WolframAlpha.

I hope I don't need to use Request Desktop Version every time I visit a regular site. Can it be set as the default for a domain? Or for all websites?

What would be fantastic if it also got rid of all those stupid websites that request you download their app. As if pages full of website apps is better for usability, or would make me visit the site more (it would result in less if I had to go searching through home pages to find it).

You're still better off supporting those developers. The built-in timelapse is of some unknown interval that you have no control over.

I'm very happy about the addition of DuckDuckGo.

Can anybody explain me what da hell is thing that everybody is talking about. Never heard this in my life.

EDIT: Nevermind, just find out that is an Internet search engine
