Anyone know the url to launch fitbit and open to the weight page, or if that's even possible? I try to log my weight every morning and would like to cut out a few extra taps if possible.

Fitbit is already supported in the 'App Launcher' area of the Launcher app.
it is: fitbit://
However i don't think there is a specific URL scheme to the weight page.
Maybe this other Sync Solver for Fitbit app is able to do that.

A few copy cats (see my message in the central widget topic) have entered their (free, without ads) widgets to the App Store. I have mixed feelings about this. The 'real' Launcher widget deserves to be the popular one. I'm wondering if Cromulent Labs can send a request to Apple to ask to remove these apps (also because of almost the same names).

I try to use Launcher shortcuts that are actually useful. A shortcut to launch an app is not useful. It's just as quick to tap the app icon. Anyways, I have found the URL for Siri useful, as I have reasons to toggle her on and off Frequently. Here's the URL:
prefs:root=General&path=SIRI

I also use ProCamera 8 + HDR as my default camera. Here's the Launcher URL for this Camera app. The last word can be changed to the setting in the camera you want. So...

ProCamera 8 + HDR
procamera://photo
procamera://video
procamera://HDR

I like to use PNG images for Launcher. You can find many by Googling what you want. For example, Google "Location PNG images". Or you can make your own using apps like Superimpose

Disagree. Competition is good. Keeps devs updating and enhancing their apps. Some of these 'copy cats' even have better features, such as finer control of icon sizing.

iOS 8 Widget Customisations using Launcher

I love Launcher and even paid for pro, but for sake of conversation, how is Launcher+ not as good? As alluded to earlier it even has better icon sizing control than Launcher, and also gives unique icons to many of the system settings. An argument can be made that it's better than Launcher.

Agree. But I don't see any yet as good as Launcher.

You could be right. I've never used that one. I paid for the pro Launcher and am satisfied. But just from viewing it on the App Store, I think I at least like the look of Launcher better.

Yeah, because they had a ready template to follow, and probably didn't have to invest as much time and effort in getting the initial design right.

Competition is good; blatant copying is downright dishonest and despicable.

Launcher's design is completely basic. I can just as easily say Launcher copied apps that came before it.

Launcher+ UI looks nicer compared to Launcher which is very basic. But some of the custom URL shortcuts don't work in Launcher+, even for Systems app like Battery Usage.
Original Launcher was a good idea and got a head start, but its not been updated since Apple approved it. Also their privacy policy, data sharing looks shady even in the pro version.
May be competition will force updates...

If anyone's using the Be Weather app here's the Launcher shortcut.

Beweather://

There's a free version and a paid version, I only have the paid version so not tried the free with the same shortcut.

Great weather app by the way and has now taken the place of the stock weather app.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the great link to the Siri link.
I submitted it also to Greg from Cromulent Labs via e-mail to add in the app Settings so other users can also find it in the app soon.

I also send the ProCamera suggestion (app only) to Cromulent Labs.
I will suggest to Greg that he should also add the specific direct settings to photo, video, HDR.

I also added these links to the start topic post.

Thanks. I just added it also to the start topic and submitted it to Launcher so it will become available (with icon) ASAP.
The URL scheme also works with the free version of BeWeather. I love the widget of BeWeather. It only lacks worlwide minute by minute (rain) forecast for e.g. the Netherlands. But we have alternatives in the Netherlands also as a widget.

For the Dutch people out there. I also added regenmelding:// and buienalarm:// as a suggestion to Cromulent labs.

I agree the UI looks nicer compared to Launcher.
I haven't had the issues you are having with Launcher+ related to settings such as Battery usage. These are working in the widget both on my iPad mini2 and iPhone 5s running both on iOS8.3.
I did found out that 'Settings > Background App Refresh' is missing in the Launcher+ app (ofcourse you can add it manually). Also Siri is missing in both apps and this can ofcourse also be manually added.

I'm beta testing for a while for Launcher and i expect it will become available ASAP for all users. It has a major fix for e.g. iPhone 5s users which have set their icons to the smallest size. See also earlier in this topic my posts about this problem.

I agree that Launcher+ has a better option to size the icon, however it has fewer icons to show if you set it to the smallest size (which i like).

Launcher (original) iPhone 5s: 6 icons per row
Launcher+ (copy cat) iPhone 5s: 5 icons per row

Launcher (original) iPad mini2: 10 icons per row
Launcher+ (copy cat) iPad mini2: 8 icons per row

But i must say that the current version in the App Store from Launcher (original) has a bug in it which causes that you cannot press the icons on the far left (as discussed before in this topic). This is resolved in Beta testing which is in final stage. I hope that Cromulent Labs will soon launch this final version for everyone.

I agree that it's nicer in Launcher+ to have already a predefined icon for e.g. WIFI so you won't have to set it yourself.

I just noticed that the Pro version is temporary on sale for 1,99 euro/dollar in e.g. US and Dutch App Store.

I copied the URL for battery usage from Launcher and pasted it Launcher+ which gave an error message. How did you do it?

I didn't try it before, but just tried it but indeed it doesn't work in Launcher+. Seems like a limitation. Also the text color on the background doesn't work great in the Launcher+ app. I'll stick with my 'real' Launcher.

Your loyalty to Launcher is both admirable and silly. I have no such loyalty. I will use the best app for the job. Launcher and Launcher+ are neck and neck. Hopefully they will battle each other with features and improvements. Maybe some other app will join the battle and be even better. I'm excited Apple has allowed these apps back into the store.

I just received an update yesterday from Greg from Cromulent Labs that BeWeather, Buienalarm, Siri setting and Regenmelding were added and indeed they are now available.

It's not loyalty alone. As said in a previous post. It can show more icons when set to the smallest size on my 5s, iPad mini2 then in comparison to Launcher+ or others. I use quite some shortcuts via Launcher.

Looks like this works now in latest update.

I also noticed the update. Good to read that adding setting URL schemes now works. It's also pretty handy that you can also search for a shortcut/app image in the App Store so you have the icon, but then you still need to add the URL scheme manually (if not mentioned yet by Launcher+).

You would think that an app which uses a URL scheme would automatically show in apps such as Launcher and Launcher+ but somehow that isn't the case.

Yeah it would be great, but I assume that that info is not 'exposed' within the OS to other apps. Wish it was. Also, I wish all apps had to have a URL scheme.

That's interesting - on iphone 6 Launcher+ can do 8 across, Launcher can do 7 at smallest sizes.
