Problems opening Shazam

Hi,

I recently found this app and it has greatly improved my iPhone interaction. However I'm having problems opening Shazam. When I launch the app from Launcher it opens to a white page where three dots are flickering and a Done-button is visible in the upper left corner and then nothing more. I can't click the Done-button and the page just keeps reloading without any progress. This doesn't happen when I open the app from the Shazam-icon, only when I try to launch it from Launcher.

Is this only for me or has anyone else experienced this? And most importantly, can it be rectified?

I've just tied it and I'm getting the same issue.

Contact the dev team through the app they're pretty good at assisting with issues like this.

Good luck in getting this sorted.

I just got a reply from Greg at Cromulent and it seems to be a bug introduced in the latest Shazam-version. I get the same behavior trying the Shazam://-Url in Safari so it's not pertaining to Launcher.

However, Greg found a workaround and have updated the Shazam-link. So anyone having this problem at the moment can delete their Shazam-launcher and then recreate it from the app-launcher list and it'll work again!

I am curious about how does this work without updating the app..could someone explain? and does it mean it requires internet and every time you launch a shortcut through launcher, it connects to their servers?
I have a few shortcuts but they work without internet.

I'd guess that the app updates the launcher-list from the server when you try to add a new launcher (or perhaps when you start the actual Launcher-app) and if you don't have an Internet connection at the time you keep your old list. Using the widget doesn't require a connection.

Could anyone please help me with the URL scheme for the 'ministry of sound' music app? I'd be really grateful...thanks

I've looked for it and tried a few but no luck. I don't know if they use a URL scheme. I would advise to contact them via Twitter: @ministryradio or mobile@ministryofsound.com. If available then please send the URL scheme to Cromulent Labs + in this topic so we can also use it.

Quick-Tap (the Launcher like widget) is back in the App Store after it was removed earlier this year by Apple. They did a small update to move the icons but overall it looks outdated if you look at Launcher or Launcher+ and the features they have. It's also lacking Settings shortcuts (can be added manually but still).

The one thing it does have that I hope the others will also offer is the ability to create separate sections.

The categories is indeed a nice feature of Quick-tap now that you mention it. I also noticed that it has nice features to set certain days/times that you can see a certain category (e.g. work 9-17, weekend).

I also noticed that unfortunately Launcher+ was removed from the App Store. I also can't find the Facebook page anymore. I did have a conversation via e-mail with the developer which used an e-mail account with @launcherplus.com. I will send him another e-mail to see what happened that it was removed.

Now the usage action change on ios 9 so i am wondering if you have find any url new..

A few days ago Launcher+ came back into the store which is now called iLauncher (i did got the update as a Launcher+). The feature to search an App in the store is nice it's however still missing an option to add URL schemes and they didn't do anything with my supplied URL schemes of a few apps and settings. Although they said they would add them. Launcher Pro is also very nice.

How does an app still show with the old name when you update it as opposed to newly installing?
I also noticed with few other apps, which have in fact new updated icon but on my iPhone it still shows old icon even after updating.

hey all! Thought I'd make this so we could share what we're all doing with our notification centre widgets with Launcher.

Official website | Developer: Cromulent Labs | App Store link | Free, with 3,99 dollar in-app purchase for Pro version. | compatible with iOS8 versions | not (yet) compatible with iOS9.

Would be great if we all share the URL Schemes that got us those actions too. This is a wiki so feel free to add things in the right sections. Generally the method to select something is:

1. Open launcher and tap the + to add an app launcher
2. Select the built in settings (notice the > pointer to tell you there is a drill down)
3. Scroll down to add the individual sub menu you want and select it.

However, some of the actions are not there so we'll document those actions here below.
But you can also send suggestions to them via this link so it will be added within the app laucher soon.

Custom icons:
You can get icons for your actions on the following sites (as well as a google search).
- easyicon.net
- icons8.com
- flaticon.com
- iconfinder.com
- simpleicon.com
- deviantart.com

Apple apps & shortcuts (majority are available within the app at 'App Launcher' at Settings):

waze://?ll=***,***&navigate=yes
Replace the first *** with the latitude and the second *** with the longitude. you can get lat long on google maps (desktop only) by rightclicking on the map and selecting "what's here?". there are for sure apps out there that give you lat long on your phone as well.

I tried the Siri,Location Services and Battery Usage url and none work. It's says unable to open. I typed in exactly as typed above but no luck.
Do I type starting prefs:root at the start?
EDIT: I've done it now. I was trying to launch within the App instead of Notifications. All working now :)

What do you mean exactly? The icon of a certain app within your Launcher widget doesn't update after a certain app updated their icon? If that is the case you should probably manually remove the app quick link in launcher and add it again to get the latest icon. You can also manually change the icon to a preferred icon.

Good to read that it now works.
Within the Launcher app (see topic start) Siri and Location Services, Battery usage are already included nowadays so you shouldn't have to manually ad them.
They should all work if you are using iOS8.0 > 8.4. It probably won't work with iOS9 beta!
You can only open the URLs within the Notification Center widget. They won't work when you press them within the Launcher app.

Enjoy app launchers while they last.

I am currently running the iOS 9 beta and apps like launch centre pro and launcher just don't work with 3rd party apps. They simply don't detect the existence of other apps. It seems like Apple has disabled url schemes and I am not sure if there is a viable workaround for these developers.

They still work but the apps will not detect 3rd party apps. You need to go into the list of all apps and find the one you want. You will get a warning that it is not installed, even though it is but it works fine after this.

I mostly use Launcher for "contacts" and the "Usage" from the settings menu, with this IOS9 update will I still be able to set "Usage" as a quick launch through Launcher Pro?.

Hoping I can as Launcher Pro is probably one of my mostly used apps on my phone but I've also been looking forward to IOS9.

Yes, these still work fine.
