Hoooray! HBO Go has been updated for SlitView/SlideOver & PiP

Update: My apologies... Not SplitView/SlideOver, but it does have a different PiP icon. Nor is it optimized for the iPad Pro

Picture in Picture (PiP) only indeed and still only for the US version of HBO GO.
Unfortunately other version such as 'HBO GO Nederland' (Dutch) lacks this feature. That app was last update in August.

Does anyone know what happened to Split View on the Hulu App? I have an ipad air 2 and at the gym I would watch Hulu on one side and read the Washington post app on the other side... yet about two weeks ago the split view disappeared and now it's just the (lame) picture in picture. How in the world can I watch Rick and Morty on the treadmill will also checking my email?

Anyone know what happened with the Hulu app? I emailed their support and got back a nebulous reply that did not answer what the hell happened to it.

As far as I know Hulu only officially supported Picture in Picture (PiP) and not yet Slide Over / Split View when updated back in September see this, but it seems it was added after that what you said and other people are saying on Twitter. You could try this solution as also mentioned in the mentioned tweet response from Hulu support. I'm not a user of it because it's not offered in my country unfortunately.

Some other updates from other apps:
VLC for Mobile - Slide Over / Split View
VidOn - Slide Over / Split View
Yahoo Mail - Slide Over / Split View

Yeah it looks like what happened was that they included Split View early on; but two weeks ago they released a new version of the app "built from the ground up" and actually removed the feature. I am assuming under the hood that the update made other things work better; and it's likely that they will bring back the split view feature; but for now it's simply gone.

The solutions mentioned in your post above appear to be for addressing poor quality streaming issues. When the removed the feature I was so convinced that there was something wrong with my OS that I fully reset my ipad to factory specs and reinstalled everything... but of course I later realized the issue was with the app all along.

Just stumbled upon Encore & Starz supporting PiP... Had closed the apps while video was playing and the PiP appeared resuming the video..

Although, I still enjoy Infuse & Plex... NPlayer has gathered some of my attention with SplitView support, it's had PiP support for awhile now.

But for those looking for an alternative to Infuse or VLC, give NPlayer a try.

All I want is the ability to drag and drop between apps in split view. The ability to drag a chart created in Excel to Word/Powerpoint document is extremely helpful.
