It might be better in your case in a few hours but that doesn't mean it will hold up that way over a few days or that it's like that for most others. That's where the more meaningful data would really be.
I knew within an hour of beta 1 that the battery drain was ridiculous. It didn't take a matter of days. I can say for certain that the battery life in beta 2 is far better than beta 1. Not opinion but fact.

So we would go back to a time when people's privacy was respected and people weren't treated like a product. How is this bad?

But people do have that choice. You do have that choice! Isolate yourself (preferably in a cave) and stay away from the internet. I promise you, your privacy would be greatly respected and you won't be treated like a product. Now how awsome that would be?

Battery has improved a lot for my iPhone 6, but now no radio in music, which is what I use, Pandora it is until iTunes music is launched

I am still testing battery drain rate. But Ratio works in Australia, maybe.
I have heard a preview of Beats 1. Yes, just a preview.

Yeah I'm in oz aswell, beta 1 had it, but now it's gone, beta 2 seems better already on my iPhone, but the iPad Air 2 had massive issues like no video coming up at all, app crash on launch for foxtel Go so had to revert back, so there goes my iPad on iOS 9 until the final release

Actually the search toggeling is pretty good, falls in line with spotlight privacy on the Mac.

with more things being done with the keyboard, why do we need a context menu anymore. That's taking to much work.....

Maybe the context menu will slowly be reduced with option the more we can do via the keyboard instead.

Maybe, Apple will release their demo version of iOS in beta 3 or 4 or 5 6 7? ;)
I mean, they may release a firmware capable of running all those things shown on WWDC, in beta 3 or 4, or even later. :p

Is it just me, or is Macrumors really far more interested in iOS 9 than OS X 10.11? There are lengthy articles poring over every tiny detail of the iOS 9 betas, but the El Capitan betas barely get more than a mention and a short recap of what's changed.

Compare with mac OS X, iOS has a relatively larger user base and iOS has now become one of the most popular mobile operating system in the world.
With larger user base, Greater concern is expected.
You may need to admit, that mac OS X is still a minority around the globe.

I guess they're just reflecting the interests of their users - these days there's far more iOS users than there are OS X users

Well well well, look what just started not being a blank screen again! By the way, after running iOS 9 beta 2 for around 15 hours I can say the battery life is MUCH improved! The percentage at the top is without charging once today, when on beta 1 I would be that low after 5-6 hours!

Speaking of the radio tab working on my music app again I can say that I notice it only plays one song when I set up a station to play

I am still testing the overall battery life, and until now the performance is ok. I have turned on my screen while playing music in the background for about 4 hours, and the battery still has 65 out of 100.

Will do more test when possible to see its real state.

Have you guys done the geek bench mark battery test?

I didn't do this, although GeekBench 3 now could do battery test under iOS 9 beta 2.

What I do is using devices as normal, while keeping screen all the way on, to see how long it will last under my pattern. And since now I use my device actively, I don't want to do this test until I am free for one day or two.

I've just noticed beta 2 keeps crashing a lot anyone else having that issue?

Agreed. Beta 1 would keep my iPad constantly warm as the processor was doing who knows what (I wasn't able to ascertain exactly what using Instruments). Turning off iCloud Drive seemed to help a bit, but Beta 2 so far feels as good as iOS 8 was for battery life.

I'm assuming you're okay with losing vast amount of webpages in a short period of time?
No, you're only assumption is that website owners are incapable of adapting to changed conditions. You must not think very highly of them. There are other ways to run websites.

Then stop going to websites that rely on ads.
I'd rather not. It's not a take it or leave it proposition with internet traffic you know. I request a website, the server responds to my request and sends me some data. I can filter the data I don't like out, and keep the data I do like.

Do you also propose I disconnect my house from the town water supply because I insist on running it through a Brita filter first? Either drink the water with the impurities or don't drink it at all?

Do you even know how Google works?
No one needs to know how Google works to decide that ads are annoying. It's Google's business to figure out how to make money, it's not the users' job to ensure Google makes money.
