iOS 9 Beta 3 Tidbits: 4x4 Folders on iPad, Screenshot and Selfie Folders, News App, and More

It'd be nice if they could still have a separate camera roll when you enable iCloud photo library. Now they are all just clumped under All Photos.

That would confuse a lot of people. The whole point of iCloud Photo Library is all your photos everywhere. If you want to have a separate camera roll, don't use iCloud Photo Library.

Fox News is actually a REAL news channel?!!!

Here in Europe we all assumed it was a spoof, just pretending to be full of ignorant gun-loving religious nuts.. making up any old stories and spreading bile and hatred.

But it's not a spoof? It's genuine..?! Holy smokes....

Due to free speech laws, it's "okay" to lie/misdirect/omit/etc on the air, even if you call yourselves a "news" channel.

Fox isn't the only station to do this (liberal media does it to a certain extent as well), but they are often made fun of because of how ridiculous they are.

I ask this question on various places but never got an answer, i do have some subscriptions in the newsstand. What will happen once i update my iPad to iOS 9 and the newsstand is replaced to news.

Will i still got to read my subscriptions i bought??

First thing to do when iOS 9 jailbreak hits: removing that Selfies folder. (assuming you can't remove it)

The screenshots one is pretty nice though. I made an album myself for that but it's not "smart".

I was very pleased Apple corrected the issue with Microsoft Exchange 2013 Calendar integration. In Beta 1 & 2 of iOS 9, the Calendar would not sync with Microsoft Exchange 2013.

One feature I'd like is the ability to lock or force 3G/4G. Around my area signal always drops to GPRS so you have to airplane and then un-airplane to get 3G back.

My old LG G2 Android had this feature where you could make 3G the default/only connection. So it'd either be 3G or no-signal. It was perfect!

Go to Settings > Cellular and turn off Enable LTE.

Sprint's LTE is spotty in my area. It'll say I have 4G, but it takes forever to load anything. The 3G is faster and more consistent all around.

I wouldn't call that perfect. What if you had bad signal and someone tried to call you?

Well to be honest in the past several years I've probably used less than 100mins calling/receiving time... Most messages come through on Facebook or Snapchat now. So it was perfect for me! Least Android had the option

Ill agree with you that CNN is terrible but Fox news is just a joke. They make CNN look like actual journalists.

When I get home, I get to update two Macs, two iOS devices and a watch. Can't wait to play. Tell me, in the Videos app, Music Videos tab, did they add the capability to sort the videos by Artist? Need to put in a suggestion.

Camera - As mentioned in the release notes, in iOS 9 beta 3 the volume buttons cannot be used to snap a picture.

Is this a bug? I mean, will this be fixed or does Apple now think you shouldn't be able to take photos using the buttons? Because to me, no button to take photo = no update to iOS 9. Seriously 80% of the time I use my phone it's to take a photo and if that's being made more difficult, what's the point? I feel like they give you a nice feature only to take it away a year or two later. You can never feel like you can get used to anything because they decide how you should do things and they randomly change that without telling you why, or for how long.

The fact that it's mentioned in the release notes as a problem means it's definitely a bug that will be fixed.

There needs to be a "Saved Pictures" folder that separate from the Camera Roll for pictures saved from the Internet. I'm tired of pictures I've saved from Safari being saved in the CAMERA ROLL.

I like to have a Downloads folder, so I can download Zip, PDF, or anything, so when I connect to my Mac later, I can see DCIM, Downloads, or whatever and grab everything I have downloaded. It would be even more ideal if other apps can use it like a global Documents folder. The sandbox is fine and all, but a way to have a second sandbox for downloads and documents would be really ideal.

There no longer seems to be a way to turn off iTunes Connect -- it's disappeared from the Restrictions screen.

You can turn off News in the Restrictions screen, and it also removes the News icon. I'm spoiled by RSS I guess ;-)

The selfie folder is clearly for use when apps require that you upload an avatar or profile picture. I guess third party apps will default to showing that folder when browsing to find a photo. Not a bad idea when you think about how long it can take to find a suitable photo.

Not gonna lie...Screenshot folder is a WIN for me...I take tons of screenshots but have always hated having them in with all my other photos!!!!

same, its probably my new favourite feature announced so far, so simple! Would be great if there's an option to browser all photos without the screenshots included too (as I presume there's no way to easily browse just photos taken with the camera at the moment as moments will include everything still?)
