I was able to activate Wi-Fi calling on 9.1 on AT&T -- not sure if it's live in 9.0 as well.
Just tried doing this, activated for my wife's in an earlier beta - I didn't use the beta and got 'not available in your area' - metro dc here.

The percentage is kind of handy. But I agree with your sentiments.I have to say, the battery widget is probably the most useless thing I've ever seen. If you're curious what your battery is at, look slightly higher past the widget to the top right of your iPhone's screen.

Where is the News app? (UK)
You could also "pinch out" with two fingers, but if they really added the swipe down gesture to Photos I'm gonna celebrate all night! I always tried that without luck, coming from apps like FB and Twitter...Don't forget about the ever helpful "pull down to go back" when viewing photos/videos. You used to HAVE to tap the "Back" button on the top left when viewing a photo/video to go back to the album view, and now you can simply swipe it down like the Facebook/Tumblr/twitter apps.
WOW, so is the screenshots folder included in the final release??? This is HUGE for me!
Now I'm wondering... does the folder recognize older (pre-iOS 9) screenshots after the update, or will only house screenshots taken after the upgrade to iOS 9?
More "hidden" features not mentioned here:
The video had an inaccuracy: Low power mode adds up to an additional three hours of battery life. By default, iOS 9 adds up to an addition one hour of battery life—even outside of low power mode.
- You can do math and conversions in spotlight, look at sports scores, stock quotes, and more
- You can add attachments to emails from iCloud Drive, Dropbox, etc
- You can use share sheets in different apps to create a note
- Proactive features, like reacting when you plug in headphones, making calendar events automatically based on emails, and more
- Turn flash on and off during a video recording
Ricardo Montalban called, he says it's rich corinthian leather. The Hidden Easter Egg Nobody has Discovered: The Scott Forstall toggle that allows you to turn on the leather, felt, and other great UI changes missing from iOS 9.
THANKS!!!Yes it does as there are screenshots from my iPhone 3G in there.
No problem. This time around iOS 9 seems lighter on features, but when you dig in, there are actually lots of little things that make the experience much better. And for the record, I'm fine with lighter features if they improve the performance, battery life and stability. All around a solid upgrade year over year. Dare I say this release could be of iOS 6 caliber? Perhaps.Good stuff, thanks. These days I'm not as eager to dig into new versions of the OS as I used to be. These updates are helpful otherwise I would probably never know about them.
No, Apple said it was an accident that it was included in the initial betas.
I call BS, though. They pulled it because the 6+ lacked enough distinguishing features. It makes no freaking sense - the feature works fine with the 2 finger gesture on the iPad and iPhone - why arbitrarily require 3D touch to activate it just on the iPhone?
What about some real help? Like whether 9 will break wifi or cellular connection this time, and an estimate on the release of 9.0.1 to fix that?
