Dont be so quick to assume that. Reviews of iOS7 have been very favourable, and the majority of the general public have more important things to worry about than app icons or which of their iDevices has what transparency ;)

The reviews may have been favourable, but in my experience the general public don't like change (look at the "outrage" for every design iteration of Facebook as a prime example). This is quite a large change (looks wise), and there will a large percentage of people who don't like it initially.

I predict quite a lot of Facebook pages and blog posts will pop up telling people "don't like iOS7? Here's how to change back to iOS6". All of this will wear off after a while as people realise apple won't change it back and they get used to it.

Anyway, to keep this on topic, I will be upgrading today.

I may upgrade today depending on how much time I have to restore my phone as new and download it fresh. I'd also like to read some reviews first, so hopefully CNET and others can post some things.

Yup, I held off from installing the betas on my iPhone, but now Im installing ASAP

You may be right. I am not a Facebook user so I had never heard of the changes or any resulting Facebook pages protesting the change.

Everyone I have shown it to seems to like it, and to be completely truthful I don't think it's core functionality is any different. Just a freshen up and a few new noticeable features.

I'll be upgrading my 4S once it's out. All the different threads from people who have installed the GM version have been overwhelmingly positive. :)

I'll probably keep my iPad 2 on iOS 6.1.3 and wait for the iPad 5 to release and i'll have 14 days to see if I like iOS 7. I still like the 3D icons. I know it's shameless. :p

I am but not on my main Mini. I got a spare and that will be the guinea pig.

While I have been keeping up with the forum, opinions on IOS 7 about performance, features, the look etc are all over the place. We have the same devices whether it be an iPhone, larger ipad, Mini, etc. so why all the differences? Are some of these not built like the others???? :)

I understand some things are specific to people's taste but performance and battery life??????

Both iPhones ( 4 and 5 ) are getting updated when I manage to get it ( I expect massive troubles in the first few hours, since there's no system on Earth to cope with that spike ).

I'm really skeptical about upgrading my iPads though, since too many things have been heard about that... probably in the next few days though - if the device can run it (without too much a compromise) there's no reason not to.

This is Apple not Microsoft. There won't be any major issues with iOS 7 which has been strenuously tested.

I'll be upgrading the second it becomes available on all my devices.

You're kidding right? Was it iOS 5 or 6 that had the battery draining issues that took about 2 months to fix? And even after the update it wasn't fully fixed until x.0.2 was released.

I'll be updating my iPhone 5 as soon as it can, but not my ipad 2. I'm not convinced it perform as well, so may just hold off until early experiences come in.

cant wait to update my ipod 4g..... oh wait nevermind... guess im not updating.
