Some carriers don't support SMS delivery reports. I know that Verizon, T-Mobile USA, and AT&T don't.

My last Verizon phone pre-iphone would show a checkmark indicating they received the message. It did not work cross-network with texts, but I could send a picture from Verizon to AT&T and get a checkmark.

Being able to have different signatures for different email addresses.

I no profiles was mentioned all ready but think its important.

Being able to see if someone has added the ! To a priority email.

1.) Bluetooth file transfer. If there were any piracy concerns there is no need to give access to the music or video folder. But I can already see the photo folder by connecting via USB.

Apps are of no use here, because the relevant API doesn't allow OBEX file transfers to non-Apple devices. That is stupid. Fixing that would be sufficent (this requires no work from Apple save from pulling the existing restriction on it).

Apple do not have a monopoly market share. The vast majority of people anyone meets will not have an iPhone. Not being able to send them vcard contact details or photos is petty.

2.) File uploads in Safari: Yes yes, Apple doesn't like the file system. They're wrong. Sites having to create a native app (and thus be subject to Apple's random content censorship) just to be able to upload photos is, again, daft.

3.) A centralised documents folder that is accessible. If you don't want to give me access to system files, then fine. Just give me one user folder. But again, the file system is a good, productive thing, and Apple have NOT created a better alternative. If they had they could include it and the file system and people would pick the alternative to use.

A password protected email app. I don't like the idea that anyone who touches my phone can read my email. Yes, I have my whole phone password protected, but this is not enough.

This. I was able to put passwords on individual apps on my moto krzr, no idea why the iphone cant do it

I LOVE my iPhone but there are several simple features missing that my old phones over the last 10 or so years could do on the Symbian OS that aren't included in iOS unless you decide to jailbreak.

My 3 Main Features I miss:

1: SMS Delivery Reports
2: Profiles for Ringer, Texts, Emails
3: Full Bluetooth Integration

these are my most missed features in my iPhone. What are yours and why? Also why do you think these were never integrated in the first place? As for number 3 I can appreciate the copyright issues here but I'm keen to hear your views :)
Pull down notification bar with access to bluetooth, 3g, wifi etc. is part of the reason why I jailbreak.

On my Samsung Eternity, I have an 'Auto Reject' call list. If someone from the list calls, my phone doesn't ring.

It's a great little feature when I don't want to deal with rabid ex's, work when I'm on vacation, people I owe money to, people who wrongly think I owe them money, various telemarketers, and anyone who calls from an 'unlisted' number.

From what I've heard, I'll miss this nifty option when I soon upgrade to an iPhone.
