Please explain how Android doesn't run those in full speed. Did I miss some "yeah we make your phone run slower than it can sucks for you" features?

You gotta go back a couple pages and read it in context plz

It was criticism of a criticism of a proclamation or something back and forth like that.

And for the other guy who asked if I have seen them yes, my dad even has two android phones and I have investigated them.

You have to love the irony of being proud that you don't have to violate any license agreements in order to run software whose primary use is to run games in violation of their license agreements. :D

I'd rather have my basics working properly and JB to emulate than have emulation available by default but have the basics suck.

The irony is that you are unable to comprehend this simple concept.

If you brag and say "haha I can run emulators" I say "well If it was imperative that I run emulators, which I don't need to considering the iOS games are better, I can do it easily, all power users do."

If I brag and say "my systems run super smooth" though, there's no fix for that. You're stuck with your sluggish system until further notice. Your response is "but but but but but..."

Eeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh shhhhhyyyyaaaaaaddddaaaapppp

This is what happened to Android in this thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTM4rPGgjn0

I have been following the thread and I fail to see your logic.
Or are you still convinced that Android is "designed to be slow"? I'm quite curious where you get that idea from.

If you're that exceedingly curious, indeed, I will tell you my son.

I got the idea from holding one in my hand and operating it.

Good day.

So how were your tests holding SGS2 in your hand and operating it? Oh yeah, you didn't.

Judging a phone before even seeing it or operating it. Your opinion means nada there.

So Google is intentionally providing a bad experience because you don't like your dad's phone? Fascinating.
By that logic my local Japanese restaurant is intentionally serving trash because I don't like sushi. You can't be serious.

My opinion means everything. When I look in the mirror, what do I see? Beauty. I look in the mirror a lot therefore I see beauty a lot and I am used to seeing it so I know it when I see it. And when I see the iPhone, it is more beautiful. I have seen everything I need to see in videos and it is the same symptoms. Look up Galaxy S II on YouTube and see how many there are.

^ there, that logic is just about as valid as yours.

I never said intentionally, you are just spinning the story lol lol

That logic means nothing. So what about those videos? Put all your data on the SGS2 and the same on the iPhone 4 then compare tests.

Say you want a new car. Are you really gonna go look it up on damn youtube rather than go the dealership and test drive it?

Or say you wanna try a new meal at a cafe. Are you gonna go review it to see what others say rather than try it at the cafe?

Come on dude, stop comparing the iPhone to a phone you have never seen in person.

I'm pretty sure that was your main argument. Not exact same words, but you did.

I'm starting to believe all these Android bashers base their opinions on crappy entry level Android phones (or better, VIDEOS of Android phones). Seriously, how can they give fair opinions without actually getting themselves familiar with both platforms?
Someone in this thread earlier nailed it: you can't use iOS like Android, and vice versa. People on Macrumors are more likely loyal to Apple, and don't have much idea how other competitors' products work. It's all good until they see something different than Apple and start spreading false info. You just won't find this outside of Apple's herd, interestingly.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-gb; Nexus S Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Don't you guys realise to be an expert on any given platform there are two quantifiers that must be met?

1. You must have played with your dads... gadget. (Not a euphemism :D)
2. If any issues exist with your dad's gadget, see if if is replicated on YouTube.

If both of these criteria are met, your are then an expert and able to bash every device on the whole platform.

Why, my dad is a Mac user. I was once using it and was hit by a spinning beachball freeze then it kernel panicked. I checked YouTube and lo and behold, other people have experienced both spinning beachballs AND kernel panics.

I therefore pronounce the whole platform and anything running on the OS as shoddy, slow and crash prone. My dad's Windows PC on the other hand hasn't had any issues so it must be far better.

Now, how absolutely effing stupid does that logic read?

I was talking to a colleague today who saw that I had an iPhone. His initial response was "why don't you like Android?". That question doesn't make any sense to me. I like Android a lot, I just don't see a compelling reason to jump ship from iOS right now. Frankly they are far to similar to bother switching. Why give up my ecosystem of iOS devices for what amounts to a lateral move?

For the record, if I had to pick my favorite mobile OS right now, it would be neither iOS or Android. It would be webOS. Unfortunately they never got the market share, developers and initial hardware was problematic.

It is only natural that android will be "a head" of iOS for most of the year. Googles development of android is less structured then apples development of iOS. This results in more major releases in a year as opposed to apples one release. So even if 2.5 to 2.6 is just to fix stability people say it puts android ahead of iOS. And if iOS 6 to 7 just added some features people wanted the fanboys will still hate.

Fanboys are amazing it there is no way to hate on sonething they will manage to hate it for being to good.

"you have to jailbreak your iphone to run emulators"...

ok, but i have to root my andrkid phone to remove bloatware and install latest os and custom roms to even improve basic finctionality...

yeah android got it all nailed down. so much that one of the most popular roms is miui which is an ios lookalike...

I just ditched an sg2 for iphone 4. hardware wise its the king but software is still the same. they just used super specs to run all same buggy code fragments android js sso you cannot see it. so much for best phone on the market.

Miui isnt even a finished product and still isnt stable enough so there isnt that many using it. Just hard core guys who like to flash ROMs. Never tried Miui myself. Doesnt look all that great in some areas of it.
The Bloatware sucks but you root your phone, you delete the bloatware and 5 minutes later, you are done. Its an easy fix.

I'm sorry, but I agree with him/her.

But really, it's just an opinion. I mean, some people think cases like those look sweet, so what do we know?

Well your opinion and his sucks if you think pages of icons is any where near as visually pleasing as sense UI. The killer part is, if I feel like switching it up to vanilla android, I can do that. Gotta love options.

Stop kidding yourself. You wish your iphone had half the swag.

Swag wow you didnt just say that did you?

Go sit in the corner you fail at life.

Not my fault you have bad taste

I can switch the style of my iPhone also it's called jailbreaking.

Yes swag, either you got it or you don't and you clearly don't have it.

Not my fault you have bad taste

Bad taste by your standard? Ha ha yea I'll pass.

I can switch the style of my iPhone also it's called jailbreaking.

Still very limited. What you can accomplish with jailbreaking I could probably accomplish with a simple launcher.
