Is there any evidence available that shows any major Exchange security breaches in real world use? Surely there must be plenty of evidence of this on the web.

I use to have a 9700, but there is no way I would ever go back. My "toy" iPhone gets a lot more done then my old "business" blackberry.

On the fence as well..... IF the reception and proximity issues didn't exist or I didn't have dropped calls, I would keep the IP4 and never look back at RIM. But whether for business or personal use, I need a stable device. I have time before my 30 days are up.

my gf has a blackberry and it suckssssss balls

typing is impossible (but she thinks the same of the iPhone, soooooooo.....)
browser is a mess

everything is just....harder to do. Take something simple like iCal for instance...if you want to switch between list, day, and month all you have to do is tap 1 button. On the BB you have to hit the, er, blackberry button?? then scroll all the way to the bottom and choose which one you want

same with typing in an address for the browser
same for composing an email
same for cut/copy/paste

I am not an apple / iPhone fanboy. I just really like the simplicity. the iPhone was my first smartphone, and i'll probably always stick with it....

I have been a BB user for 5 years straight and have been an iPhone hater. I bought the first iPhone and returned it within a few weeks because my BB did everything I wanted better except youtube and the browser. But because my Bold is dying and the timing is right, I ordered an iPhone 4. Hopefully im not disappointed and return it again. My BB is sooo boring and resets itself every 20 min, but I still love it.

Not being able to use YouTube and the browser is a pretty big issue. There is also the problem of not being able to view most videos, listen to most of your music (if you can, bully for you....I could never make that thing work 100%), and the apps are hiccupy at best. What's with their app store only letting you have so many megs of apps there? I suppose I could find out but I hope that is going to be a moot point in a short while. I guess it was some kind of holding area for the apps you bought, if you bought one more you had to delete one of the previous ones...or something. *sigh*

Should be an easy transition if you don't browse the web, play games, listen to music, use 3rd party applications, like large screens, want to shoot decent video and pictures.

Besides all of that, there is not much difference

hahaha. In all seriousness though, he just about summed it all up.

I am not going to go digging for it but I just pointed out the difference.
Blackberry I believe is military grade. Exchanged is not.
It comes down to how hard it is to brute force attack it. Blackberry is much more difficult to brute force crack. That was more what I was pointing out. While you can crack 1 data pack at a time but it is only 2 kb and you would need to brute for crack the next one as well since it would have a difference key on it.

My point being that if exchange is such a big security liability, there would be many real world examples of this.

Did I ever say exchange was a big security liability. No I did not. Hell I even said it was pretty good security wise. It was just when it was compared to BB BES/BIS network that is pales.
You are the one twisting my words and saying that I called exchanged a security liability. I just said compared to something else it pales.

for 99% of out there exchange is well beyond our needs.
Security is rated in how long does it take to brute for hack something. Brute forcing BES and BIS email is a lot longer than lets say the iPhone exchange system. iPhone I want to say is still rated in days. Now I based on your name and some of your other post I know you do not like hearing the iPhone is not the best at something or something it uses is no where close to the top but the truth is mobile security it pales in comparison to the Blackberry.
