I'd go for the $349 one, thats a steal, guess will be even cheaper soon on ebay.

Its a great device as is , save the money if cash matters....

$349 for an iPad , WOw feel sorry for Samsung and MOto good luck at $649 and $899 price points

I keep refreshing and its coming up 429 for the refurb. I am leaning towards the refurb because I don't care that it's thinner, I care nothing about cameras, and extra proccessor speed is cool but I don't care as much because doubt I'll be playing any games that need it. So I am not sure what to do .

As much as I would love to have the latest and greatest, using it for light browsing(not many tabs so reloading is not a big issue)/email/ebook reading $349 can't be beat.

May have to pick one of these up before they are gone.. I don't have a need for the ipad 2 since I have a good ol' trusty MacBook and an iPhone 4. Maybe able to find them even cheaper on ebay.

If you gave away your old $600 iPad, it would have only cost $1.65 a day to own (assuming you owned it for a year). Sell it for $300 and the ownership cost drops to 82 cents per day or about $25 per month. Heck, I spend way more than that on Starbucks, or my cable bill.

I guess my point is, anyone who feels they're "screwed" because they are going to get $100 less for reselling an iPad, maybe needs to re-evaluate their finances better. Something having cost you $25 per month over the past year should be trivial.

E-bay prices might even recover when Apple sells out of iPad 1s. Might. It really depends on offer and demand.

Still too expensive for my taste. $299, yes I would go and buy one, but not for nearly $400!

It says 429 on refurb. That can't be right? Can it? Mistake?

Well, I tried to sell mine for the last few days. People kept offering $400, I'd say yes, then they'd flake out on me. Happened 3 times.

I can get the page to show $349, but it's $429 when I try to check out. Also the clearance section shows it for $499.

In the german apple store, u still get the original ipads, but at a discounted price (more than 100€ off.

Er? I see $350 for the 16GB WiFi. Added to my cart at $350. Oh crap, now I have to resist actually buying it.

Look out the window.
Do you see caribou? If so, you might be in Canada.
Do you see koala bears? If so, you might be in Australia.
$350 USD. YMMV if "dollar" means something else to you.

Apple UK site hasn't updated its refurb prices yet

so it's currently selling refurb ipads for more than new  :D

This will cause ebay prices to drop to amazing bargain levels :)

In the UK store the refurbs are now more expensive than the new iPads - I wonder if they will update the refurb prices?

Edit: mikerr beat me to it!

UK prices are messed up, 16GB wifi was £329 a few minutes ago, now it is more than the 32GB. Also 64GB 3G is less than the 32GB 3G. Sort it out Apple!

This is a pretty good deal. It's tempting because I feel like our 16 GB iPad won't have enough storage for our upcoming vacation (it's more than enough around the house). I'd particularly like to use it to backup all photos from our cameras to insure against memory cards getting lost/stolen/corrupted before we get home to load photos on the computer.

$350 for a second 16 GB is pretty darn good, but it's also more to lug around. $429 for a 32 GB or $529 for 64 (barely more than we paid for the 16 in September) is tempting as well, but then I'd want to sell the current one and just replace it with a higher capacity. And these prices make selling much less of a deal!

In the end, I'm cheap and will probably make do with what we have. We're already spending bazillions on this trip...
