Has something changed on eBay?

Nope it's a paypal policy that's been in effect for a few years now. A lot of the time it takes 7-10 days to go through. If you receive confirmation of the delivery then you can call ebay and they will release the hold before the 7-10 day period is up. That's just how it is for "non-constantly active" sellers.

Don't let anyone tell you that your 16GB wifi is worth less than $300.

Why would anyone pay $300 for a used iPad when you can get a refurbished one for only $50 more with a full factory warranty?

A year of use means the battery may have had nearly half of its recharge cycles used up. A new battery costs $100.

Ii think a fare price would be $250 to $275 maximum, depending on condition and remaining recharge cycles.

$50 dollars saved at 300 is a 17% savings. A TON of people would take that over getting a refurb. Just because you like one way, doesn't mean everyone will follow suit.

$300 for an iPad is a GREAT deal.

Not really. $350 gets you what is basically a BRAND NEW iPad with a BRAND NEW battery, no scratches either because the case is also BRAND NEW.

Or you can take a chance with an iPad that may have been used heavily.

I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a used iPad.

Got 430 for my 32gb wifi on eBay, not bad IMO. However eBay took out $38 in final value fees.

Hence why I'm keeping my iPad. The iPad 2 didn't introduce any ground shattering feature that I absolutely have to have. I'll most likely give my iPad to my girlfriend when the iPad 3 is released (since I'm sure the original iPad's will fetch next to nothing at that point).

i got 400.00 for mine on ebay with a case. mine was the 16g wifi only. I was alright with that price, when I get the ipad 2 I am at least getting a 32gb one I found 16 wasn't enough.

I had mine up and only got $300 for it, so I chose to reenlist. It was a 16GB Wifi, but I had the auction end at 4am which probably wasn't the best idea.

Well, while I really think the iPad 2 looks cool and all and includes the cameras, I decided to buy a couple of iPad 1's. For my wife's mom, I got a 16gb WiFi w/Apple case for $325 shipped (9.5 months warranty left). For me, I bought a 32gb 3G model w/Apple and Incase cases for $440 shipped. Probably not the best if I wanted to squeeze a few more bucks, but not bad to pay compared to the refurb prices plus tax and cases. The equivalent level new iPad 2's would cost me about $200 more or so for each so I'm ok with these for now...just wait for iPad 3 perhaps :)

Purchased a 16GB iPad (Wifi ) on craigslist for $300, apple case included. I also browsed ebay but it seems the bidding was inflating the prices. $300 was within my budget so I took the plunge!
