iPad 2 badly scratched!

Sorry to hear about it. Looking at the pic, I wondered if it was a roof of the car incident. I think someone else from the forum has already done that to their iPad 2 as well.
I picked up an Incase neoprene sleeve plus this week (http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/neoprene-sleeve-plus-cl57500) and feel a lot better about it going into my bag now. Before, I had to gingerly set the bag down in my car since it wasn't protected.
Looking forward to more cases for iPad 2 coming out (esp ones that support keeping the SmartCover on the front).
Pretty awesome that someone was kind enough to return it. I shall like humans again for a little while.

Go ahead and scratch the back of yours a couple times....see if it bothers you? Of course having an iPad with that many scratches would bother someone that paid 600$ for this.

How's the front of the iPad?
If you can't get it replaced (and I'm sure if you went to the Apple store and told them your story, they would almost certainly help you), you could just get a form fitting skin and pretend like it never happened.
Sadly, I heard a story on CNN last week about something very similar happening with a child in a car seat (but they were on the ground behind the car).

The iPad 2 comes out tomorrow here in Canada but i think I'll give it a week before I go in. Im sure the genius people will be more willing to give me a new one if there's sufficient stock in the store.

Heres an idea - put it up on e-bay with honesty and pictures.
Sell it to someone for $100 less than retail as a buy it now....
Somebody will likely give you that much if they only want it to play games/movies for the kids.
Not everyone is as obsessive with preserving looks. I am but I have sold scratch and dent in the past to people who just don't give a flip.
Just be honest about the appearance and wifi possible issue. End result? you are out $100 (plus fees) you get the shiney ipad that you want and somebody gets a bargain (maybe)

Sheesh! And to think my hubby complained when I left my engagement ring on top of his car!
If your engagement ring cost less than an iPad2 I feel bad for you.
