How about when your delivery is scheduled in two weeks, you walk in a store and they have what you want, in stock. You buy it and cancel the delivery.
Fedex tricked me!! now im even more excited. I kept looking out for the fedex man the whole day yesterday!.. it said it was in mississauga since yesterday morning.. I tracked again today and it said it was in memphis!.. lol. whats going on? can anyone tell me?

While I think that managing to find one in-store weeks early is a triumph in itself, there is something really satisfying about receiving a package that you have been waiting for, for a long time.
@djclo: That was a customs broker getting paperwork ready to clear your ipad, imo shouldn't be on the tracking because it is a behind-the-scenes thing that is standard practice that we don't really need to know about.
On that note: my ipad actually IS in Mississauga! Arrived at FedEx ramp at 06:15 this morning

So it does not mean that it is there. Also look at the times. The flight from China doesn't take a few hours.
Also all FedEx international packages go to their hub in Memphis for processing.
There are 2 flights daily to Toronto. One at like 3am and another at 4pm.
From Mississauga it goes to another local FedEx facility where it gets put on a truck for delivery!

It could happen. I've had several packaged go from California to Toronto overnight and in my hands by lunch time.

True, it can go either way. Since customs is getting hundreds or thousands of these in per day, I can't imagine they would take a lot of time to process each one.
djclo: use the yahoo fedex tracker to find where your package is. The fedex one sucks, says mine is still in indianapolis

Nice, Trinidad is awesome, albeit a bit dangerous, want to be wary and not have ipad in sight if you are in POS. Gotta eat some doubles while there. And some roti. I was there last month, but just at the airport, didn't have enough time to get out and explore this time around.
BTW, where is your ipad now?
