I like them both, but I think i'm going to change it up a bit and get a white ipad this time. Since most of my apple products are black.

black, and on an off note anyone like the old one more? i will be keeping my old one i like the looks beter

I likes mah iPadz like I likes mah --

Oh.

Black for me, please. White is just not appealing on the iOS devices as I thought it would be. Macs (desktops & laptops) and iPods, yes. iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad, not so much.

You know, I strongly debated getting the original one today primarily because I think it looks better. I also believe I'd like the weight and substantial thickness of the device, but I've yet to try out the iPad 2, so we'll have to see. A device about 3 3 times the size of my iPhone should not be thinner than my iPhone, but like I said... I just don't know yet.

The $350 is REALLY appealing, but I know I'd miss the front / rear cameras in the end.

I'm sort of leaning towards white, but I think scratches are more visible on that. I'll probably purchase black. *shrugs*

Will people never learn. 2 to 3 months after white ipad is available the first oF many threads will appear: "OMG WHITE IPAD 2 YELLOWING?" "WHITE IPAD 2 LOOKS MORE BLUE WHITE THAN WHITE" "MY SISTER'S IPAD 2 IS WHITER THAN MY IPAD 2" and so on ams so forth.

Assuming we a get a white iPhone this summer I'll do that, but I think my iPad 2 will be black....

This truly is interesting, in the beginning the majority was black and now it has shifted to white. Darn you rock n' rolling hipppity hopsters.

I like the white a lot...looks refined. I do wish my first gen iPad had the white faceplate. Though the new iPads are no slouch in design, the original iPad looks cool with the squared off edges, and the speaker grills to the side. Since it's not that big an upgrade, I will be keeping my iPad for retro points (since I regretted selling my Powerbook 12" long long ago).

I will say though, that there is no need for comparing until I get a hands-on of one of these iPad 2's.

That's exactly what I'm thinking as well. Figure I'll give the white a go, change things up a bit.

Not sure if I'm buying yet but it would be white
I never really liked the white iPhone, but I'm really digging the white color on iPad. Getting tired of black on my iDevices.

white ipad looks nice, but i will choose the black one for 1 reason and 1 reason only: white ipad looks too similar to amazon Kindles.

White here.

Most people will probably get white since it is 'different'. I'd bet had the white iPhone actually materialized it'd be more popular too.

Has to be black, white gets filthy.

It's glass-- I'm sure you won't see it get dirty.

If I were to get one, definitely in black. White looks tacky. I'd never get a white apple product except for their peripherals. Or a classic iPod.

why does it have to be so clear cut black or white. why not offer a titanium gray color? oh well.

I might get white just so it feels like a new iPad. Otherwise, it would look exactly like my iPad 1 almost.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Well, when I first heard about white, I definitely favored black since I have no appreciation for the White iPhone, but the white is actually pretty sexy in the iPad...

Probably still buying the black, but I'll grapple with this more than once before March 11th.

As for my Smart Cover, almost certainly Leather Black, though if I end up feeling cheap I'll settle for Polyurethane Grey.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a gun metal gray or something along those lines.

However, I imagine I'd still stick with black, it just looks more professional IMO.
